Because your soaking in your bath tub again staring at the ceiling.
As good as he is, as fast as he works, he just does not look Hispanic…
It’s like watching Clapton play the guitar.
It’s amazing to watch any master at work.
Encore! He was just getting started
back in the day we had ‘Craftsmen’
… now we have ‘Workers’
I still have my old drywall axe.
Some things you have to file under things you can not do but you love to watch pro’s do. I can’t draw or paint pictures.
You Tube is great for this.
By the way he is a lather pre sheetrock they will do a full skim coat on the walls.
Plasterboard hammer. I’ve been on job sites for 25 and more years and have never seen one, except in a tool store. I always thought they were brick hammers for retards. It’s even more strange now to know that Henry James called it domiciliary pasteboard.
Here‘s an unrelated quickie (5 second) video I enjoy watching.
Online videos can be one heckuva time sink.
@ Uncle Al, when the cat is sick of your shit!
There’s pre- war and there’s post war, we just witnessed PRE-war skills, that is.
Building materials are an amazing thing, the transition being WWII with plywood, for instance, for light aircraft.
Being this Veterans Day, plywood was used on those planes, God Bless those guys:

Cool! No dust mask, no gloves, no safety goggles, no dust protection suit. No wonder he can get the job done. Probably loves his work.
What’s wrong with watching paint dry?! I do it all the time. Truly.
If I had been born a man, I know for a fact that I would have been a tradesman — a craftsman. There’s a reason there aren’t more women in the trades; it’s hard, physical work that requires a lot of muscle and the ability to recover from day to day. A day of paint prep — even sanding with an orbital sander — kicks my butt and makes me sore from head to toe, and even though I’m used to it I know it would be a lot easier if I had the muscle mass.
Wow, he’s dressed nice, too.
That is not a carpenter hanging drywall. That is a Lather hanging Rock Lath. At the end of the video you can see him applying the metal lath strips to the seams and corner beads. All of this is the prep work to apply plaster to the walls.
He died from lung cancer from all that silica, decades ago.
Sorry to be a buzz-kill.
You know why these guys were so productive? They weren’t looking at their phones every 2 minutes or have to leave to visit the probation office or worry about ICE showing up.
we used to have talented tradesmen
now we have lying lawyers and commie professors
Master Plaster
or How Barter Town Got Built.
I love to watch someone work while I lay around on my ass.

Better figure out an occupation that has to be done – that cannot be done by a machine (a machine that doesn’t demand a pay raise, more benefits, o.t. pay, or more holidays off work). You might only have ten years left to find it.
