Dem Gov. John Bel Edwards Wins Tight Governor’s Race in Louisiana

epochtimes-

Democratic incumbent John Bel Edwards is projected to win a second term as Louisiana governor after early AP polling results show him narrowly defeating Republican opponent, businessman Eddie Rispone.

Edwards was up by over 19,300 votes out of 1.45 million cast, with 96 percent of precincts counted on Saturday night, according to AP.

Louisiana was the third and final state to vote on its governor after Edwards missed winning re-election in the October primary, triggering a run-off. Edwards had won 47 percent of the primary vote, followed by Rispone on 27 percent, and fellow Republican Ralph Abraham in 24 percent.

A West Point graduate, Edwards campaigned to voters as a Louisiana Democrat with political views that sometimes don’t match his party’s leaders.

  1. Like I said, Mean while “Louisiana is now a Libtard state. Way to go assholes.”

Please quit pissing on my head and telling me it’s raining.

No way DJT is getting re elected. The votes are stacked. Nothings being done about voter fraud. This should have been priority number one. WTF?

  2. It’s easy to be shocked and angry at this result. It appears democrats still manipulate and control the black vote which went heavy for Edwards. I look forward to hearing from conservative thinkers (you out there Diogenes?) about their take from inside Lousiana on this outcome.

  3. You have to wonder what else a president can do to sway voters. Trumps accomplishments are nothing short of astonishing and most of it to the benefit of those americans usually ignored by politicians.
This is a reminder of just how deep the stupid runs.

  4. Louisiana has been corrupt since the days France and Spain were fighting over it.
The corruption has its dirty fingers in every pie, and Edwards and his family run it like a fiefdom.
Drugs, prostitution, you name it – Louisiana is awash in it – and the politicians are running it.

Don’t take my word for it.
