  1. Hey Joe, Ed Sullivan died in Oct. 1974 so you must be having a bad dream about appearing on his show so that you can be a hipster with the brain dead snowflake generation. I worked with retarded and severely handicapped people at a state institution in the late 90’s and some of the people were smarter than you and a lot less dangerous to our society. I am also glad that I only worked there for a year because of the politically correct BS work environment and Catch 22 rules that would drive anyone nuts.

  2. Does the snowflake generation even know who Ed Sullivan was? He was as big to pop culture back in those days as watching Lassie was for kids of my age on Sunday nights. Betcha they would’ve loved watching Lassie a male collie playing like he was a female dog and even having puppies, she was a dog ahead of his/her times.

  3. He’ll be talking to a little Italian mouse while riding a unicycle upside down and opening a box with a head in it and asking the head if everything is “Zallright”?

    Zallright? Zallright.

  4. The Ed Sullivan show I think was the last gasp of Vaudeville. He always had a variety of acts, singers, dancers, comedians, etc.

An appalling act that I remember was some woman singing “The Big Hurt”. She was very matronly looking, the song was both silly and weird, and she was accompanied by a long-haired beardo playing some sort of stringed instrument. It was all very odd and strange.

When the show first started, in 1949 or so, it was called “Toast of the Town”. Some critics called it the “Toast of the Tomb” because of Sullivan’s stiffness and somewhat ghastly face.
