Rachel Maddow gets my nod as the Worst Media Person for 2016-2019. She deserves that title not because she’s anti-Trump deranged — so are most of the hosts and guests on MSNBC and CNN, and large numbers of reporters and opinion-makers at major newspapers.
And Maddow’s not the worst at MSNBC — Lawrence O’Donnell is hate-filled and angry, but no one takes his intellect seriously. Maddow, by contrast, managed to defraud her own viewers with pungent conspiracy fear-mongering that has led them down a dark dead-ended alleyway, while maintaining the patina of intellectualism.

Rachel “Bob” Maddow is a pathetic media personality that has subsisted on outrageous stories and reports all of which point to the hopeless challenge she is in to actually have meaningful ratings. I wonder if she has her time slot out of pity or that there is some sort of ‘affirmative action’ program at liberal networks to employ sexually androgynous generally dis-likeable people who would otherwise be left to panhandling for a livelihood.
It is more than fitting she is awarded this honor on both her lack of honesty and her utter lack of talent. Let’s hope she keeps up the effort so she can be a candidate yet again for this award.
