No, Obama doesn’t deserve credit for Trump’s economy

Wa Examiner-

It’s the latest fad: Say that President Trump’s economic record is actually less impressive than President Barack Obama’s. Say that Trump is only benefiting from the policies that Obama spent eight years constructing.

Unfortunately, for its proponents, the fad is false. Trump’s economic record is manifestly superior to Obama’s, and it’s not even close.

True, this doesn’t seem so obvious at first glance.

As an array of media outlets and pundits are pointing out, the last three years of Obama’s presidency saw more new jobs created than the first three years of Trump’s presidency. Trump’s critics say that this is proof of Obama’s superior economic stewardship.

But not so fast. There are three major problems with this thesis.

First off, as any serious economist will point out, it is far harder to create jobs in an economy with ever reducing slack. This is to say, an economy in which means of human and capital production are more fully engaged. It’s one thing to create jobs right after a recession, but it’s a very different thing to keep creating jobs when the economy is doing well. read more

  1. Just sit Obama down and ask him precisely how he set the stage for this economic revival after declaring a magic wand would be needed. And that jobs, once lost, would not be coming back. Ask any of those pukes claiming this to explain what he actually did.

    I! Have! Had! Enough!!

Jesus H. Christ!!! WILL WE NEVER BE RID OF THAT SON OF A BITCH?! WILL WE NEVER BE RID OF ALL THOSE ASSHOLES WHO WORSHIP THE GROUND HE TRODS?!

  3. Obama’s stock market was mainly propped up by stock buybacks by the corporations. Companies sat on cash, not wanting to spend a dime hiring or upgrading because everybody was scared what Obama was going to do with his far reaching and burdensome regulations. So the best thing to do with a lot of this spare cash was to buyback stock and artifically push up share prices. I’m also sure free money from QE played a factor in it also.

  4. So the ’90s Clinton housing bubble pops in 2007, and they immediately distract from that fact, but calling out the shock troops for “Occupy Wall Street.”

Then it’s Bush’s fault for everything, then Obama sits on a stagnant economy for 8 years, then as soon as Trump makes progress, it’s all Obama’s design.

  5. The pitiful attempt to resurrect the phony image of Obozo has a stench of desperation.
Trump and crew have been busy scrubbing and bleaching every trace of that filthy traitor and they have to stand by and watch.

  6. I remember when the stock market started climbing when Romney was showing some promise in back in 2012. Then when it was clear that the Obamboozler was going to stay it slumped again and the investment money stayed on the sidelines. Nobody wanted to invest a million dollars into something only to have it worth 750K next year!

  7. Yes, he does.
If not for B.Hussein the American people would never have awakened to the danger.
We would have sat still for the short glide into tyranny, pestilence, penury, famine, slavery, and death.
With his sonorous line of absolute bullshit (by which he seemed to mesmerize millions) he was stealing $Billions, if not $Trillions; “redistributing” that money among his cronies, friends, sycophants, unionists, Academists, Media-maggotry, syndicalists, and assorted fellow travellers.

America reacted. We revolted, in fact. We rejected the Swamp Creature.
We had no idea if Trump COULD do what he claimed, and even less idea of whether or not he WOULD, but it seemed a better bet than what was an absolute certainty of the continuation and (possibly) expansion of the blatant corruption of the previous 16 years!
