There Is No American Worker Shortage

Rasmussen Reports| Michelle Malkin:

[…] Marie Larson, an American mom who founded the American Workers Coalition with Barbara Birch and Hilarie Gamm, told me: “I talk to Americans almost daily who are being discriminated against, who keep getting laid off by Indian managers, who have to train their foreign replacements to get the much-needed severance packages, who have to pull kids out of college because they can’t afford it, even having to sell their houses. These are STEM workers, who got the ‘right’ degrees and did everything they were supposed to do, only to have our government turn their back and sell out to big businesses push for even more H-1Bs.” Tech firms cut 64,166 American jobs in 2019, up 351% from 14,230 in 2018. SNIP: What’s up with Mick Mulvaney?

Contrast those clarion “America First” statements with the apparent hysteria of Trump’s current acting chief of staff, Mick Mulvaney, who was caught on tape telling a private audience of elites in England last week: “We are desperate — desperate — for more people. 1. Mike Lee is an arse ho from Utah. Is he a paid foreign agent from India?
He sure behaves like one. Somebody should investigate and put this Benedict Arnold in prison. There appears to be a lot of corruption.

  2. I was laid-off from my STEM job after working there for more than 15 years. Was replaced by some Indian immigrant who was paid only about 60% of what I was being paid. Yes, I am a victim of H1-B visa abuse.

  3. Follow the money. Big business making large contributions to campaign funding? Promise of high paying salaries as officers of companies upon leaving office? Kids/relatives suddenly getting great jobs? Start by getting rid of lobbying and lobbyists. Politics is nothing but corruption and greased palms.

  4. the only shortage is a shortage of low paid foreign workers the companies can exploit, not of citizens who worked up ladder while helping build the business and making it profitable to a bigger salary than the one they signed on at.

this is not a labor problem but a moral problem
