The “Myth” of Death Panels – IOTW Report

The “Myth” of Death Panels

From an anonymous reader-

Forwarding this little tidbit to you that comes from a group-email string that I am forced to belong to.  They have been endlessly wringing their hands about COVID19 without doing much else except this-> the VA hastily put together a death panel under the guise of an ethics committee about who would receive care and who wouldn’t.

It only took them a few days to crank this out on a virus with a 95+% cure rate. Imagine what other non-threats that they would be willing to pull the plug on you for.

This foreshadows what is to come unless Trump wins and proves beyond a doubt that no government entity is your friend.

Imagine going to your health care provider with expectation of receiving care only to be put on a morphine drip. We are sitting on a razor’s edge my friend. Trump must win the next election so we can get our education system back on track and prune these government entities WAY WAY back.

PS: They didn’t like my idea about not rationing care for the people that fought for our country, and were wounded while proving their worth, and limiting resources for basement dwellers.  BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA

  1. THE VELVET ROPE OF POLITICS

Those on the party list of reliable members, donors, supporters, get waived on through, the rest of you wait in line for approval, stamps, fees, rejection notices, or SIMPLY DIE waiting for organ transplants, or other medical treatment.

It’s the soft version of Auschwitz, with lots of excuse why you must die.

Never let government weaponize your health options, the way the have weaponized 100% of everything else they’ve gotten their claws into. –FOOLS!

  2. government control of your health (meaning: your life) is always ultimately a Death Panel

… they just dress it up for the stupids as ‘free’

  3. When my youngest son was five, a family friend in her 80’s was dying. My son said, “Is she dying? You know, ready for the land?

Today, he’s 16 years into serving his country and is wondering the same about it.

  4. I knew a nurse at Alexandria Hospital about 50 years ago who told me about a hobo who had been brought in in respiratory distress. They shoved him into a corner (after providing minimal care) and let him expire.

    This isn’t new.

  5. …gotta be careful here, got a little too honest about hospices one time, and only because BFH was available for rapid deletion did I not get sued to smithereens. Not because it wasn’t true, but because the entities I named can afford lawyers, and I can’t, and they REALLY don’t want folks telling the TRUTH about them.

    …so, without naming names…

…I was at the doctor’s a few days ago for my pre-op for a knee surgery that ultimately got cancelled because Ohio governor DeWhine wants to hurt President Trump. While there, I noticed a happy little poster in the wall in the exam room, “How about a heart-to-heart about the end of life?” published by a hospice. I never saw anything like that before Obamacare, hopices were few, far between, NEVER advertised before Obamacare, and when I was transporting patients we talked of LIFE, not DEATH.

…now, the “health” companies push hospice at every turn, are on damn near every corner, and discussions with patients ALWAYS include “end-of-life” directives.

Subtext: “you’re just taking up space you useless not-young and healthy person, so DIE already, thanks much, and be QUICK about it, we’ve got BETTER things to do…”.

    …and it’s not like they’re NICE about it, either…

…when my father-in-law died, he had been a “downer” for too long and was brain dead. The hospital at least did their diligence in THAT, although they were very reluctant to exhaust all possibilities, since he wasn’t a rich man and was on Medicare. His other daughter and his siblings dumped the decision on my wife because they’re jerks, and after looking at everything, watching him repeatedly seize for days, and…most importantly, PRAYING…,it became manifest that he wasn’t coming back to us, and she made the most wrenching decision of her life to withdraw life support. It also played into this that his daughter, my wife’s sister, had died shortly before of cancer, and he had said HE didn’t want to linger on like that.

…they extubated him on the expectation that he’s die quick without it, only to see him have the rudeness to not die immediately. This prompted someone in the hospital to decide he was “in pain” and start a morphine drip, which they then increased until he stopped breathing.

And no one will ever convince me otherwise.

He was gone anyway and it crushed my wife doubly that SHE had to make the terrible decision so I didn’t pursue it, but what a lying bunch of “medical” bastards.

…then, I saw a friend and a church member die im a hospice. He had advanced liver disease that was probably treatable, but the doc talked his family into hospice, who shoved him into a cubicle with a bed and didn’t feed him or give him water until he died. I was spared his end, but seeing him left witless and curled up like a dying spider with no one even monitoring him was, frankly, disgusting, but that was his families’ choice.

Later, one of my wife’s aunts came to her end. I wasn’t clear on what her issue was, but she was old and it was none of my business, her kids and her made a decision, so off to the dying room for her.

This was a different, very large,”Professional” hospice, and what a bunch of fuckers THEY were. She COULD eat and drink, but died hungry and thirsty because the hospice wanted her kidneys to shut down as quickly as possible, so they even checked bags to make sure no one was giving this dying woman a crumb of mercy. They DID let them dip dental sponges in a shallow pool of coffee, though, and sponge her cracked, deydrated lips, but that was IT.

THEN, they started getting pissy that she wasn’t dying fast enough. They even told her son (who wasn’t the most stable person in the world) that “This is a 24 hour room. If she doesn’t die soon, we’re going to have to move her to a smaller room and charge you for it”. Nice compassion there, huh? Well, given that on top of the fact they were clearly wanting his mother to die of neglect, he got angry enough that they had an excuse to have the close by (of course) off-duty cops forcibly remove him, so he had no more input on his mother’s “care”, and didn’t even get to see her go.

    Nice.

…they were serious about wanting her dead, tho. They apparently figured out those folks didn’t have a lot of money the hospice could sue them for, so out came the morphine drip after they bullied the now-insensate dying woman’s remaining family into it, and she was then professionally medically executed.

…This is just a SAMPLE of those I have close, personal knowedge of. There’s many, many more stories, all of them horror stories, and all post-Obamacare.

The debate on assisted suicide ended on March 10th, 2010, when an illegitimate “president” signed an illegally passed bill that stripped all dignity and respect for human life from “health care” decisions and replaced it with convenience of the State.

…the only difference between what Kevorkian did and what Obamacare does, is that Kevorkian at least ASKED if you want to die.

With Obamacare, administrators just bully your relatives into authorizing your death without even discussing the matter with you, or facing severe financial penalties.

It’s medical murder, different only in tone from an execution, and FAR less honest.

And Democrats have made everone OK with that…

    God help us.

But whilst you were permitted to live, you would have to live well.” George Bernard Shaw, “The Intelligent Woman’s Guide to Socialism and Capitalism,” 1928, Brentano’s, New York, New York, p. 470.

  7. “Denying” health care and killing you outright are two different things. The first is reneging on the OBLIGATIONS of the government healthcare system (payed for by slaves (taxpayers). The second is murder. HUGE DIFFERENCE. Yes you paid into your medicare, but not for hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of hospital coverage. When you look at the BIG PICTURE, the whole situation could have been avoided by NOT DEALING WITH THE OPPRESSORS. Yes, there is a way to avoid the assholes but you did not pursue it enough. Can you say “SOVEREIGN”? Besides, why are people so afraid of death?

  8. King John put opponents into dungeons and “denied” them food and water (which are forms of health care).
    They died.
    Were they not “murdered?”
If one is “denied” Oxygen, one will surely die – even though Oxygen therapy (breathing) is a form of health care.

We fear death, not only because it is unknown, but because our manifold sins have made the dispensation of our souls suspect. Is God’s mercy infinite? Are there cosmic legalism which can get us off the hook? More questions than answers.

  9. when my time is up i hope i can make the conscious decision myself at home to stop eating and drinking

i don’t need or want no hospital pretending to help me for the rest of my money

  10. George Bernard Shaw supported “left” and “right” socialist dictatorships in the 1930’s. And, he was a eugenicist. The only good thing I can say about him was that he did not like Hollywood and the movie industry. Other than that, there is not much to like.
