  1. …trying not to comment today, to stay out of worldly things on the day our Lord destroyed death for us and focus on HIM, but I could not give this a pass. I was blessed by this and it spoke to the glory of God on the ONLY hope of mankind on this Resurrection Sunday, and unites people from all over the world in His praise, in defiace of those that would keep us from praising Him.

Thank you for posting this, Claudia. May God bless you for keepin Him in praise.

And may God bless all of us on His rebirth day. A strange and miraculous thing that WE get the presents.

    Happy Easter,

  2. I meant to put this above, too…

“38 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,

39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
    Romans 8:38-39

…even death cannot separate us from the love of the Lord.

    Because he’s not dead.

Access to “His tomb” is closed today by men who would have us fearful of death.

    But that’s OK.

    Because He’s not there!

    Matthew 28:5-6
“5 And the angel answered and said unto the women, Fear not ye: for I know that ye seek Jesus, which was crucified.

6 He is not here: for he is risen, as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay.”

This week I have rededicated my life to Christ.”

…well, praise God that He has drawn you closer to Him, and I praise Him too if He gave me anything to say that touched you, but if so, it was from Him and I was only His vessel, and all praise and glory be to Him.

He has done much in MY life, and for that I praise Him too. I am but a weak and imperfect man, and sometime do not represent Him well here, and for that I apologize, but I am a work in progress that He is not finished with, but I thank Him for His patience and praise Him for His guidance.

I do have to say, though, that if there’s anything bad you see from me…the cursing, the anger, the hatred, the impatience with the misguided men who would rule us that I wish evil upon instead of pray for..that’s me.

If anything I say is good, helpful, or touches you and calls you to the Lord…that is my Lord speaking through me, and how wonderful He can use even the weakest of vessels.

Bu in this, as in ALL things, all praise and glory are HIS and His ALONE.

I thank God He’s called you back, @MissInMi, and you can not even IMAGINE the wonderful things He has in store for you, althogh even THOSE things will pale next to when you stand before Him in His glory in the kindom of Heaven! You are an heir to Him now, and when you at last lay your trophies down on Earth, the wonders of His kingdom will be yours to share in, all the while surrounded by the joyous light of Your savior! The angels are rejoicing today that Jesus won another one!

We can lift and support one another, and I thank Him that our hosts let us do so here, but do not look to Man for comfort on the end, look always to the Lord, for he is first, last, and ALWAYS our only true Friend and Companion.

“3 And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God.

4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.”
    Revelation 21,3-4

What a wonderful future you’ve rededicated to, @MissInMi. You’ve made your Lord very, very happy on this, his rebirthday. May many others follow your example and flock to His side.

    God Bless,

  6. MissInMi, God bless you richly!

SNS, God has blessed you with wisdom, too. “if He gave me anything to say that touched you, but if so, it was from Him and I was only His vessel, and all praise and glory be to Him.”

  7. Lazlo testifies to the Lord’s surprises and goodness.
As soon as yesterday he taught me a lesson in love and kindness.
I am humbled by the love he has spread through his people.
It makes me wish I were better and gives me the energy to do so!

  8. Hallelujah! Christ is Risen.

Praise The True and Living God for the Word.
    Note these words Christ spoke;
    John 3:3,14-15
3 “Jesus replied, “Very truly I tell you, no one can see the kingdom of God unless they are born again”
14 “Just as Moses lifted up the snake in the wilderness, so the Son of Man must be lifted up,
15 that everyone who believes may have eternal life in him.”

    Especially significant, John 3:16 as well the rest of the chapter;
“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.”

17 “For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.
18 Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because they have not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son.
19 This is the verdict: Light has come into the world, but people loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil.
20 Everyone who does evil hates the light, and will not come into the light for fear that their deeds will be exposed.
21 But whoever lives by the truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen plainly that what they have done has been done in the sight of God.”

  9. I’m late to the service what can I say?

So, my Penance for being late? I offer the vid I took of a church in Lancaster, Pa on 2–18-20 before the First Amenment was stopped. There was no one in the church but me and the practicing pianist.

For anyone that might like stained glass and the greatest piano accompaniment you will ever hear, performed by and Angel, this is YOUR gramdmas vid.

Still not too late for Resurrection Sunday though…and never really too late for amazing art work.

Thank You C and @Different Tim.

It was a tough day and not to have my parents around anymore gets tougher by the year, not easier.

My mon used to get use those chocolate crosses and that was it but I treasured it.

  10. Like @Guinness Girl – I forgot to say HAPPY EASTER and we did some egg coloring and I like to put those that have gone before on the eggs names in the crayon. Like I miss my brother, ‘Uncle’ Jim. I tell my own boys about him.

Oh, and ‘don’t let the bastards get ya down’, making us ‘stay home’ today.

  11. Ghost, thank you for sharing that. Beautiful glass work. Though I’m not a regular church attende I do go on Easter Sunday and Christmas without fail until this year. That brought a little satisfaction to me. Reminds me of my neighborhood Lutheran Church where I go.

“…I offer the vid I took of a church in Lancaster, Pa…”

Nice church, Ghost. Do you know the name of the piece the pianist is playing? I don’t recognize it.

The nice thing about Easter is that it reminds you that you’ll see your folks again, and won’t THAT reunion at the feet of our Lord be a joyous one!

And good for you telling your boys about your brother. No one is truly gone as long as we keep their memories alive…

…I had to go to the cemetary to celebrate my father’s birthday as I’ve done every year for the last 20, by piping “Amazing Grace” on the bagpipes with my living mother and whatever other family likes to come. This year was different because I had to do it 10 days early, on MY birthday…because they were closing the cemetary the next day indefinitely.

    Because of Coronavirus.

    A cemetary.

Not a lot of mass parties there.

But I think tradition and keeping memories alive is important whatever the obstacles. My father isn’t there, I know, but my mother appreciates it, and it helps me deal too.

21 years later, I still miss him.

But today we celebrate that we may meet again, for our Lord died for our sins, then arose to defeat death itself.

And I can’t think of any greater gift than that…

“50 Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption.

51 Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,

52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.

53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.

54 So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.

55 O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?

56 The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law.

57 But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

58 Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.”
    1 Corinthians 15:50-58

Death is robbed of its sting indeed.

    Praise the Lord.

    God Bless,

  13. And am I born to die?
    To lay this body down!
And must my trembling spirit fly
    Into a world unknown?

    A land of deepest shade,
    Unpierced by human thought
The dreary regions of the dead,
    Where all things are forgot.

Soon as from earth I go
    What will become of me?
    Eternal happiness or woe,
    Must then my portion be!

    Waked by the trumpet sound,
    I from my grave shall rise;
And see the Judge with glory crowned,
    And see the flaming skies!

God bless you all this Easter celebration of the Resurrections of our Lord
