Broward judge tells lawyers to get out of Bed
and wear a shirt for Zoom hearings

Sweatpants and T-shirts may be the uniform for the new work-at-home workforce.

But if you’re a lawyer in Broward County, a judge wants you to avoid dressing down for tele-court appearances.

With some courts opting for online hearings, Broward Circuit Judge Dennis Bailey issued a warning to those thinking they can wear just anything.

  1. The few times I’ve been selected to show for jury duty I’ve seen people show up in tank tops, t-shirts and halter tops. I sit as far away from them as possible so I can be unnoticed when the judge gives them a good dressing down. It happens every time.

  2. I saw a photo of an elderly gentleman attending an online Church service on an IPAD That man was showered, sharp and in a tie.
    Of course that man was of another generation.
    Not the young knuckleheads running around today.

    I agree, Mary Hatch worked in NYC for thirty plus years, she just happened to be in between jobs BEFORE The Imposed Isolation.

    Meaning, she has no job right now, but she gets up everyday and gets dressed regardless, it’s a mindset or the like there of, like you said. Luckily there have been some facetime vid interviews and headhunter call backs but we do not expect much.

    I owe ya a note and some critter pics…
