I’d call this the liquor sippers crapper paper caper.
We should all take a swipe at it.
That story got rolled-up and swirled down the innertubes all the way to here! Even though it came out well in the end, it’s a sad tail of three sluggish people being bound-up in our constipated legal system. In the anals of misdemeanor case law with its thousands of such roll calls, this one needs flushing!
If i read the story correctly, the reporter was quoting the police spokesperson. So blame the cops for the bathroom humor.
Tracy Bloom believes that containers can be alcoholics. Someone with an IQ higher than room temperature would say open container of alcohol. She wrecked the story for me.

@Anon: I watched that Johnny Carson video the other day. He was the best entertainer ever. His facial expressions were priceless.
The report should have had an additional joke (?). The police office on patrol could have been acronymed by calling him (or her) a POOP.
They missed a golden opportunity for another side-splitting laff.
