During almost all of Barack Obama’s presidency, the United States space industry was outsourced to Russia. But President Donald Trump has made space exploration a priority of his administration, and for the first time in almost a decade, a space flight will depart from Florida on May 27.
The date for the upcoming trip from U.S. soil to the International Space Station could change, but it will happen, NASA officials said, marking the first Florida launch since the final space shuttle flight in 2011. More
The treasonous organ grinder monkey must be very upset at this news.
This is such exciting and uplifting news. Having grown up during the “space race”, I used to want to be an astronaut. Then I wanted to be an astronomer. As I was too young to be the first, and my math skills precluded me from being the second, I still fancied myself an amateur space freak.
Thank God for President Trump. He has brought back the joy of exploration and I hope that ignites the dreams of a new generation.
Not since the election of the half black man from Kenya who will not be named.
Wait a damned minute! Isn’t this the same government agency that was charged with dragging all those Middle Eastern Shitholes into the Ninth or Tenth Centuries? Without NASA’s scientific outreach, these countries might descend back into the Seventh or Eighth Centuries, and that would be a real tragedy. Oh right, never mind.
How very good to have a President who does Presidential things instead of making every move with a political weathervane stuffed up their butt.

Seems like yesterday.
I’m a little concerned about current “Life Critical” quality procedures
ASStronaut Petey B wants to launch straight into Uranus!
Did NASA get rid of Obama’s sabotaging muzzies?
Another bad nightmare of the Oblowme regime reversed.
Why is a commenter still keeping Pete Buttiegieg in this blog’s discussion. LEAVE PETEY ALONE, I sobbed.
Or at a bare minimum, LEAVE US OUT OF YOUR PERSONAL FASCINATION.
Honestly.
I don’t care about withdrawn candidates. You are the only one still talking about him. And starfishes. And icky stuff.
Let it go.
@PHenry –
I agree. It’s old news, stale humor, past it’s expiration date, and generally boring.
I wonder at the picture of an ancient space shovel? This tub was designed in the 70’s. Don’t get me wrong, mechanical stuff from the 70’s is still top rate. You still couldn’t do better on structural or rotating shaft devices. Maybe a few places 3D printed titanium parts could be used. Lox/liq hydrogen is a pain, I wish they would redesign with Lox/Rp-1 or equivalent. Tanks get smaller, whole thing is safer.
But the subsystems need a massive upgrade. Electrical is no doubt some ancient 28 volt DC system at high currents. Should be 48 volt. You can imagine what the control boxes and displays must look like.
Social distancing done right.
[Just pick the right day and weather. No Challenger repeat launching when conditions aren’t optimal please.]
The empty suit half black Jesus was groomed by the cabal to destroy our country and the starry eyed gave the utter dipshit 8 years to do it.
He did wake the sleeping giant and his hatred of that giant got PDJT elected for 8 years to completely undo his satanic agenda and put his scrawy ass in jail.
It will not be abuse of power that brings the Magic Lightbringer down it will be abuse of children.
I do miss the road trips to see the shuttle lift off, but fla. is too full of carpet bagger yankees, wetbacks & all sorts of dregs of society to visit anymore.
