Why Dick York, now? Why not?
There are some things I never knew about Dick York, who I am currently watching doing a nice job in an episode of Alfred Hitchcock Presents. (I can’t find the episode to post. But it takes place in the future, 1980. In that year, speech was banned inside buildings because they determined that passed on illnesses.)
Enjoy this interview. York seems like he was a wonderful man.->
My mom loved Bewitched and seldom missed it. Since we had just the one TV we saw it often as well. I never new what happened to Dick York till now. Too bad how his career ended. I thinking he had a lot of painful days.
As a kid, I was watching Bewitched in prime time when the TV
image quickly shrunk down to a small dot along with all the lights. That was because of the great east coast blackout had begun.
Dick York was by far the best Darren. My father and I were big fans because we had watched him in other stuff before Bewitched. It was a disgrace how his “friends” let him get that low. He seemed to insinuate that Montgomery sort of cut him off after leaving the show. Figures. It was Hollywood in the sixties.
What an appropriate time to bring up Bewitched and/ or the stars of the show seeing as Governors are encouraging people to be Gladys Kravitz.
Dick York does seem like he was a nice man.
Too bad his costars didn’t seem to think enough of him to visit.
What a nice guy. Cpnsidering the pain he was in, he was a heck of an actor.
Wow what a wonderful guy. All hes been through and such a wonderful outlook and disposition! Hollywood today could learn a few things from Mr York. God bless him
Dick’s episode on the Twilight Zone where he could read minds was one of the best. That episode should be remade with Dick working in Congress this time.

Hollyweird LOVES YA’… til they DON’T.
🖕😡🖕 ’em.
Didn’t know that whole story. Very sad. Didn’t know that was O’Reilly until the end!
Hubby and I watched that Twilight Zone last night. The year should have been 2020 instead of 1980. Wonder who dug that show out of the archives….
He certainly did seem like a great guy.
“I’m alive now! Be happy!” – can’t beat that!
I didn’t know much about him. It sounds like he was a good person. I thought maybe he was a queer, but I guess that was the guy that replaced him.
