The Day the Expos Mascot Got Tossed Out of the Park

Aaron Burr dropped this in the comments. It’s a moment in baseball history that is pretty amusing, even though Tommy Lasorda wasn’t so amused.

  1. C’mon, you could set up an entire youtube channel dedicated to Tommy Lasordas freak outs against baseball mascots.

Bad call, bench clearing brawl….Tommy yelled…like any manager.
    But bring a mascot out….

…….dude has issues with mascots is all I’m saying.

  2. LOL. I went to college with the Philly Phanatic.

Remember when Lasorda did a commercial for some weight loss product where they showed a picture of Fat Tommy and he said: “And I’m NEVER gonna look like that again”! He lied.

  3. Tommy Lasagna is still alive and 92 YO. While the Dodger manager, he lived in a non-descript 1950’s era tract home in Fullerton CA. His players probably had fancier digs than he did.
