  1. I grew up around those things, they can be very unpredictable.

    Sometimes you can walk up to one and pet it and other times they’ll charge you if they even see you near them.

    They’ve been known to attack cars driving down a road, and sometimes win.

    Best bet is to just leave them alone, definitely don’t want to be taking a selfie with them.

    My sister was born in the park. My mom worked at the hospital and we lived in Gardiner. She said that my favorite hobby was examining the injured as they came in. That was in the 1960’s and they came in a lot, visitors were encouraged to walk up to bears, bison, elk etc and tease them with food back then.

    Word from her was that the more gruesome the mauling the more I enjoyed it.

    That may have something to do with me telling my kids to give all wild animals a wide berth unless and until you have poked it in the eye with a long stick to make sure it is going to stay shot permanently.

  3. .45-70 and his brother raised Bison. They had a video of them separating the cows from a bull. Well, the bull decided he was gonna miss his gals and gave .45-70 one hell of a gate ride….it was hysterical!….
