Rosenstein to Democrat Mazie Hirono: Trump did not commit ‘a crime that warrants prosecution’

Just The News:

Former Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein on Wednesday appeared before the Senate Judiciary Committee at an oversight hearing about the Crossfire Hurricane investigation and denied that he has ever suggested removing President Trump from office using the 25th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution.

“I did not suggest or hint at secretly recording President Trump,” Rosenstein also said during questioning from Democratic Sen. Mazie Hirono.

The Hawaiian senator blasted the hearing as a ploy to bolster President Trump’s “conspiracy theories and to help the president’s reelection” and said that it “wastes this committee’s time.”

Hirono asked Rosenstein if he concurred with Attorney General Barr’s statement in a letter to Congress, in which Barr wrote that, “Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein and I have concluded that the evidence developed during the Special Counsel’s investigation is not sufficient to establish that the President committed an obstruction-of-justice offense.”

“Did Attorney General Barr accurately present your view regarding the obstruction of justice?” Hirono asked.

“Senator I do not believe that the evidence collected by the special counsel warrants prosecution of the president, that is correct,” Rosenstein replied. more

  1. One should be flabbergasted by the incompetence, infatilism, and basic asinity of almost every Demonrat.

Five year olds electing five year olds. They are like children on the playground pointing around after one of them farts.

They are just babbling idiots from Biden on down but pretend to be our moral and intellectual superiors.

Their crass stupidity makes me ill to think they are half of this country.

  2. I detest lawyer speak. When Rosenstein says “..did not commit a crime that warrants prosecution”, he (intentionally) leaves the door ajar. There may be evidence of a crime, but not bad enough to prosecute. Bobble heads will hear it that way.

The truth is POTUS Trump did not commit a crime at all. The truth is Rosenstein is an untrustworthy weasel who has committed many crimes.

  3. The competition to be the lead Demonrat dingbat is fierce. Isn’t it. The lead changes daily. On many days every few minutes. At year’s end tally Mazie may have the most number of days and minutes at the front of the pack.

A super high speed camera may be needed to be sure which of a dozen or so have earned first place each day. Possibly leading by only by a nanosecond or two. Second and third place will have a large number of to close to tell. And be declared 12 way ties for silver and for bronze.

It’s not difficult to figure out why the Japanese kicked her out of Japan. Either to be rid of her before she degraded the gene pool. Or for revenge by the old hard liners for our defeating them in WW2.

  4. Well I think if they all want to defund the police, we should defund Congress to. Congress makes laws and if you’re not gonna have any police to enforce them we need them?

Congress is a huge waste of taxpayer dollars. Many of the people elected are blithering idiots and would be fired if they worked in the real world. Most of them only care about their own truth and how it helps them stay in power. Maisie is only going to here and keep pushing the same damn message about President Trump. No matter how many times she hears evidence to the contrary.

  5. Will people ever understand that crimes and legalities are not he issue?

No one cares about that, the only thing that matters is the rallying cry of “hooray for my side” and getting rid of the other by any means possible.

That applies to both sides, and that is why there is no reconciliation between the opposing factions in our country.

In the end, there can be only one left.

  6. @Bad_Brad

Jim Jordan endorsed Yvette Herrell in New Mexico’s 2nd district. She beat the pretty, young, blond Never-Trumper who positioned herself next to VP Pence. Endorsements matter.

  7. If I’m not mistaken, around 1992, ten women accused Sen. Daniel Inouye of sexual harassment. The charges were downplayed, then ignored by the press because Democrats. Crazy Mazie was the creeps biggest defender.
