Why We Must Fight

So we can govern ourselves, thank you very much.

Texas Scorecard:

We have forgotten just how extraordinary it is to be Americans. We have allowed the notion of being an American to be common, just like everyone else. But the fact is, America is anything but common – at least, in its origins.

British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher understood that. She once said, “Europe was created by history. America was created by philosophy.”

But it was not an esoteric philosophy of learned men in ivory towers, divorced from the practical worries of life. No, it was the practical philosophy of a practical people guided by their faith and experience.

In the early 1840s a young historian named Mellen Chamberlain sought out one of the last surviving participants from the Battle of Concord to ask him about that experience. The minuteman’s name was Levi Preston, who was 91 at the time of their meeting. read more

  1. I read on line that Europeans are freer because they can drink beer and wine in a park without getting in trouble with the police. I was going to ask them about flipping off speed cams but I decided against it.

  2. We are faced with three epidemics:
    1-crazy women
    2-beta males, and
3-treason by swamp cocksuckers for chump change

We need an epidemic of MACHO to beat back this bullshit. No quarter given.

  3. We’re a patient people.
A lot of us actually do believe in the process. The concept that the process itself is being corrupted before our eyes is stunning. We would rather believe that Roberts, et al, are stupid than accept that they are traitors. We would prefer that Pelosi and Biden are demented rather than evil. We try to think Cuomo was “mistaken” rather than murderous in his Wuhan Flu decisions.
We know – KNOW – that voter ID is absolutely essential to free and fair elections – AND that it’s absolutely necessary to keep foreigners (those both here and abroad) out of the voting booth, but we want to be soothed about the issue, not contentious. We also KNOW that slavery was ended 150 years ago BY WHITE PEOPLE, but we feel bad about the dark face of crime in America – and that the negro is the poster-boy of poverty and sloth – regardless that there are more slothful caucasoids in poverty than negroes.

So, the would-be totalitarians play upon that – they divide so that they may conquer. We bide our time hoping against hope that the American character bubbles to the surface of the shit-bucket.

  5. @Rich Taylor,
“Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other.”

    There it is, self government.

  6. What do we expect? When you take out the basics reading, writing, arithmetic and American history out of schools, then replace it with hate America, global warming, sex education etc..it’s going to produce ignoramuses. We need to put backbone back into our kid’s or this will never change.

  7. I watched several 100 plus year old statues pulled down last night on FOX as LE stood by and watched. In reality, LE is there for their protection. If any one of us showed up with a weapon to stop the insanity there’s not a doubt in my mind we would be engaged and killed by LE. We’ve got problems. Where are the Oath-keepers? Where are the III Percenters. Something needs to be done. Step 1, Trump needs to EO Nation Wide Carry.

  8. Unfortunately, Americans have allowed politics to become a criminal cabal rife with corruption. Until we take the profits out of politics and demand term limits nothing will change. Today, we do not govern ourselves. We are lorded over by those who place wealth and power over all else. We, over the course of 100-years, have allowed this to be the norm. Corrupt America hating politicians do not hide their indiscretions because they know there’s not a damn thing we can do about it. Voting and elections change nothing.
