Denzel Washington has been impressive for a while now. Morgan Freeman has been pretty good, but I remember a few years ago he had me not liking him at all. Maybe I misunderstood what he was trying to say. One guy that surprised the heck out me in this is the rapper, Lil Wayne. I’ll never like what he calls his music, but he will surprise you in this. 12 minutes long so get a refreshment before you turn it on.
The race hustlers today are so far removed from Dr. King’s dream of a color-blind society and of course, it’s by design.
The only plantations we have today are created by the self-loathing guilty white liberal, he sees himself as a benevolent slavemaster who is needed because the black folks just can’t fend for themselves without his guidance and shepherding. These are the most racist people ever created.
Don’t waste my time talking about racism. Americans aren’t a race.
Either you are an American, or you are a racist and an anti-American.
And Denzel rocks, his 2 “Equalizer” movies are the best.
Rich, I’m usually not big on violent movies but I did enjoy “Training Day”. It makes me wonder if a rookie cop gets fucked over like that as a matter of routine, and if that is what happens to freshmen congresscritters.
Excellent compilation.
Who are the guy in the black suit and the young guy who talked about getting pulled over, saying 99% of cops are good?
@Joe6pak – a very good friend just sent this to me YESTERDAY, your timing is SPOT on and yes, very important vid to watch especially David Webb at the Oxford Union:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pv7hsiUirUU
Good post.
Thanks.
@Rich Taylor – he was great in Glory, I think he won an Oscar for that?? He played an amazing contrarian type and was up against Freeman in the scene:

Ghost
@LCD – since you asked:
Morgan Freeman, actor
Lil Wayne, rapper
David Webb, ‘radio show host’
Anthony Mackie, actor
Denzel Washington, actor
Larry Elder, ‘radio show host’
Terrence Floyd (George Floyd’s Brother)
Martin Luther King Jr.
H/t – MRC vid of same vid.
BTW – @Joe6pak he grew up in Mount Vernon,NY…
For the Denzel fans out there, “Courage Under Fire” was terrific (I still get choked up watching the scene where he tells the parents of this deceased best friend that he was the one that gave the order to fire) and as mentioned, both Equalizer movies (When he starts his watch timer, run like hell).
@joe6 — I agree with you on Freeman. I was pretty astonished to hear him here, making so strong a stand against so-called “systemic racism.” I think there were two things that decided me against him a few years back. First, he’s a Hollywood Progressive and there was that thing about him having a relationship with his granddaughter (though, I don’t think he has a blood relationship to her). Could have been fake news, too. Who knows?
I am extremely encouraged by the number of black Americans who are taking to the public square to question the roots and resolution of American slavery, the Party of Jim Crow, the KKK, the “Inner City” slums, black dependence on welfare and gov’t handouts, and all the rest.
What Candace Owens, Larry Elder, Tom Sowell and others have done seems to finally be taking hold outside the conservative sphere. This recent rioting and the lies of BLM is really helping, too. If you’re black and living in an area that seems to get trashed every time the race grievance groups take to the streets, you cannot escape noticing the pattern.
You’ve got to have a hard-corp chip on your shoulder about your “situation” to not know about all the black men who are murdered by other black men, how many black American women have abortions compared to all other American women, and how many children are living with their single mothers with no one around called “daddy.”
In “Man On Fire” I thought DW was tops.
I have a handful of black friends. I generally get along better with them than my white friends. You don’t need to guess what they are thinking. Same with me. We normally touch bases a couple times a month, shoot together at least once a month. I noticed a week or so ago they were testing or calling several times a week. I finally figured out they were worried about all this shit driving a wedge between us. So I started answering texts and phone calls “Hey asshole”. Instantly we all new we loved each other. Fucking guys. About three years ago two, that had never met, dropped by the shop. I was busy working on something while we were talking. There was a quite moment and one of the guys who’s a Mountain Trained Marine and general class clown says, “Hey, it’s getting pretty dark in here”. Hilarity ensued. It’s not right that the socialist are putting this much pressure on race relations.
PS
I’ll drop what I’m doing to watch a Denzel movie. I don’t think he’s ever made a bad one.
BB — That’s wonderful. Friends are friends, it shouldn’t matter what color they are.
It didn’t matter (and doesn’t matter) to me, either, back in ’07/’08 when one of my friends called to tell me how amazing oblowme was because he was going to be the first black president. I made the mistake of telling my friend that he seemed to be oversimplifying his decision. Poof! end of a 20+ year, very close friendship. “Alex” and I had known each other since we we were barely in our 20’s. We met in the Air Force and never once did his skin color cross my mind. I admired him for his talent and creativity. After my first husband died suddenly, he was one of the first people I called and he made a point to stop in if he was in the neighborhood (his job takes him all over the city every day).
Anyway, it was Alex and not me who severed the ties because he thought I was against oblowme because he is black. It’s one of the stupidest and saddest things because my friend is actually a conservative by every measurement; great family man, provider for his family, believes in the free market, religious, and so on. Apparently he was suckered into the whole “systemic racism” thing. Weird, too, because both of his (highly successful) adult children are half white.
PS,PS
The Class Clown daughter is at West Point on a full ride.
I only recognized Morgan Freeman ‘cause I live a sheltered life. 🙂 I was extremely happy to listen to all of them speak logic an real truth. I learned I shouldn’t dismiss total Hollywood.
I don’t think anyone could be any more tired of hearing about anyfuckingthing than I am than hearing about the problems of blacks.
The fact is over 550,000 violent interracial(black v white) crimes were committed in 2018(excluding murder for some reason) and over 500,000 of those crimes were committed by blacks on whites.
So sell your “black friend” bullshit some where else because there was a time(70s) when I had more “black friends” than any white person you ever met. Every one turned out to be a liar, thief and worse. You say you have solid black friends, great, I know that’s possible. But in my RealityVille that hasn’t happened. And the view from my porch tells me to just avoid them totally. There are millions of decent blacks and it’s too bad there are 40 million who would just as soon set me a fire as have a beer but that’s reality pal.
Oh woe is me, I have problems. It’s all because of…black people. How fucking stupid is that? This is the land of opportunity, if you want to wallow than do us all a favor and put a bullet in your head,
I know all 5 voted for Obama the first time around. Not sure about his second term. But every one two a man told me they voted fro Trump. I try and tread lightly on politics. But sometimes that’s tough.
MMinAR
Sounds like you naturally attract losers.
Sounds like you think much too highly of yourself.
Self delusional is terminal bud.
MMinAR
Well you just never know now do you? Terminal? Ain’t you a bad ass.
Anyone with bad in their handle is a poser, can you dig it “bad”?
Your endless rants about knocking people out, weapon proficiency, your dead lifts & bench presses…Lord give it a fucking rest dude, we get it, you’ve got big balls and man-o-man I’d hate to run into you in a dark alley. /s
How many more posts do I have to read from you telling me how you’d take care of that hombre in 30 seconds? Seriously it’s tiresome. Generally I skip your bullshit but when you get into virtue signaling…well Lordie, what a hoot.
Gonna be a knee next bud?
Lighten up Francis.
MMinAR — Uh, yup, my good friend Bad_Brad really is someone you wouldn’t want to meet in a dark alley if you were up to no good.
You think his posts are braggadocio? He’s holding back, actually.
BB and I used to be mortal enemies on this site at one time. I was always telling him to sober up (remember that, BB?). LOL!
He’s one of the good guys and I’m proud to call him my friend. Very fortunate to have him on our side.
I do take your point (above). After being knocked around and called a “racist” for the past 10+ years, whites in this country are running low on empathy. But try to resist that because we all know that people are people and it’s the Left who are trying to divide and conquer. Can’t let them do it that easily.
Just chill, breathe, do whatever you have to do, take a drink, take a drag, just step away tonight.
We all have our opinions and assholes so lets keep it that way.
Our life experience brings us here for instance, M Hatch had a revolver put to her head (by a black dude) in high school for her jewelry so we all have our different life experiences, I just said that for ‘some context’.
Do I have my prejudices? Yes
Do I judge? Yes
Do I discriminate? No
Does the above make or not make me a ‘raccccis’? NO it does not, we all do that.
Do I treat people as individuals? YES.
IOW @Bad_Brad has his own experience and you @MMinAR have YOUR own, and this is fine. Read, don’t read, post, don’t react. Whatever.
Where is your, anyone’s really, your personal red line? That point of being ‘cross’ or being crossed, meaning ‘offended’ or mentally threatened maybe? Challenged IOW.
I remember my ‘dust up’ with @Bad_Brad well. :>o
Now, I want to visit ‘the bastard’!
BTW! Same happened with @MJA and now we are ‘friends’…lol @MJA as YOU like to say.
Hey ghost, you must discriminate! There is good and evil, honest guys and crooks, conservatives and libs, if you don’t take your opportunity to discriminate and choose the people you want to associate with you will wish you did discriminate. Being discriminatory is something you need to teach your kids.
Yo, BronxBoy! Where you truck at?
“Now, I want to visit ‘the bastard’!”
Make it October. The Bass light up on the Delta in October. February is even better. We seem to always get an Injun Summer in February and you can catch some big fish then.
@Aaron Burr – I was gonna bring you up as well, for a good scrap up gone bad, but that’s TMI and whisky and beer under the bridge! I remember that early one too…
Shane, A low Down Yankee Liar:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U42siP-GW0g
And NO ONE wants to hear about a 4 x 4 Green 1974 Ford semi rusted anyways!!! I kinda dig it.
@ Joe6pak – I agree, to the degree, that to be discriminatory IS based, for me, on a one to one relationship and not any type of ‘group’ association. As a single individual, I cannot nor do not have, the position to discriminate.
Again, JUDGE? Yes.
Harrumph! That’s yiddish for @Aaron Burr.
@Bad_Brad – yes one day in an October…I went fishing in the Merced once? Nothing!
????
You were the salty fisherman trying to reel in a truck.
I just fix stuff.
@ MMinAR
Bad Brad is a friend of mine, and he DOES NOT virtue signal. You have him all wrong. I’m proud to be his friend. Please re consider what you said.
Bass??! Bass?!!
Always makes me think of the can of ‘bait’ in the film “A River Runs Through It”.
“When [bait fishermen] come back home they don’t even kiss their mothers on the front porch before they’re in the back garden with a red Hills Bros. coffee can digging for angleworms.” ~N. McClean, A River Runs Through It
Whoa! A very cathartic thread. If possible, Freud’s couch would be jealous. It’s going to be all right everyone. Thank God, the sun will come up tomorrow.
@ghost of brig gen j glover – That David Webb speech at Oxford is a real keeper. There is a well-reasoned, well-delivered speech that will endure the test of time just as Booker T. Washington’s quotes did. This will be well worth listening to tomorrow, ten or 100 years from now. Thanks for posting!
