  1. I honestly thought by now I wouldn’t have to be hearing about this damn virus.
I have gotten to the point where I have told family members who apparently now thrive on living in fear, to either shut the hell up and do not mention, virus, covid, mask, hospital or anything related to me, if they want to continue to talking to me.
Back in early March, before the shut downs I had to hear, “are you really going to Texas? People are getting the virus down there.” 3 days I spent around many people, none of us wearing a mask.
Texas was the first to open race tracks back up after the shut downs, so off to Texas we go again. I heard, “you should not be traveling, we’re still shut down, you’re going to get sick. Do you not realize this can kill you? Please at least wear a mask.” Yeah, I didn’t wear a mask, I won’t wear a mask, and not once have I remained shut in my house. As a matter of fact, while in Texas watching the race, the stands were packed, you couldn’t have slipped a sheet of paper in.

Since then we’ve been to Wisconsin, Iowa, South Dakota, Missouri, Kansas and Arkansas, as well as tracks in this state. Everyone shut up after Wisconsin and South Dakota, when I told them if I didn’t get sick they could shut up. The last two trips have been silence, until today.

We’re going back to Texas and it’s like back at the beginning of all this bullshit, Texas is bad, numbers up, hospitals filled up, am I crazy. So I really blew up. Around 3 months of this shit is enough. How in the hell can people still be scared of this shit? How in the hell can people not see they continue to be herded like sheep?

  2. I don’t know how anyone else feels, but I’m getting sick of alternating between feeling pissed off and depressed over everything that’s happening and believing there’s not a damn thing I can do about any of it except vote for Trump in November.

  3. Brown Eyed Girl, you nailed it! That’s where I’ve been stuck for the past 3 1/2 months.

Last night it was mandated everyone in Nevada wear masks or the businesses will face fines. I call BS since the CDC (if you can believe them) said the virus (hoax) is on the decline. Thank God for the humor on this website!

  4. @ Old Racist White Woman: Those facemask/COVID people are sheeple, and will do as they’re told. Some people aren’t capable of thinking for themselves, but I’m right there with you on their stupidity & fear. Anyone mentions a mask to me can expect “Karen” on steroids to answer them. The face mask Nazis are really sheeple. They are the ones that will happily jump on the cattle car and told they’re going to a marshmallow roast. When they get there, they discover they’re the marshmallow.

  5. @Bubba Squealin, shouldn’t blacks be more scared of chains? After all nooses weren’t for slaves, nooses were for the most part for criminals, castle rustlers, cowboys, etc.

Although my name has racist in it, I’m not trying to be racist to point out something that I don’t think Nascar gets. I’ve been to many race tracks and for whatever reason racing just doesn’t seem to be the thing of the majority of blacks. I’ll see a few here and there, but they’re so few and far between it’s pretty clear it’s really not a sport they’re interested in. There are always white people, Indians, Hispanic and Asians.
There was even a track I went to a few years ago in a town that was predominately black, white people were the minority. I expected once we got to the track there would be a lot of black people. I was actually surprised as all I saw all night were two families on the grandstand side watching and in the pits one driver had a crew member that was black and there was a black girl working in the concession stand.
It’s pretty inexpensive to go to local tracks, between $10 and $20 to go watch and almost all tracks have free nights. So how does Nascar plan on getting the pop culture to watch something they have no interest in?

We’re big into rodeos as well and there are always blacks watching and competing in rodeos. The same with derby demolitions.
Both of which are more known as white people or redneck sports/events.

  6. @Goldenfoxx, those mask wearing people either piss me off or make me laugh, depending on the day. If this state ever makes them mandatory, they better just get ready to fine me until the cows come home or they throw me in jail, because I’m not wearing them. There are a few businesses around here that require them and I have told them they lost my business forever.

I will continue doing as I please. Traveling to race tracks is something I enjoy and is something I will continue to do as long as they’re open and don’t require a mask.

  7. Yeah, Old Racist White woman….Bubba Wallace could do himself, Nascar and getting the sport out to persons of color by doing just one thing….WINNING RACES! and shutting his mouth until he does…..he just ain’t got the talent right now and at age 27 his window of opportunity is closing….Al Davis said “just win, baby” and that’s what Racing is about….If you finish second you just lost the closest….

  8. As if we need a reminder why Joe can’t have any type of event without hand chosen media or questions prescreened and manufactured with answers and the guy still can’t deliver or figure out when he is talking to a real person or a recording.

As for the masks, Texas, sigh, Abbott has bought into all the media fear and stopped elective surgeries and has paused any further reopening. Also dem areas are going after businesses big time on masks. I also thought this would be over by now. Now I wonder if it won’t be 2021 before we start to see the beginning of the end of this madness. The hottest spot is Houston. Can we discuss what went on there the last month? Protests, the Floyd funeral? No. We punish all the counties run by liberals including mine in Hays. So we managed to find one freezer chest last weekend, filled it up and bought as many supplies as we could and we plan to basically hunker down on our acreage which is in the beautiful hill country until this insanity stops. If we have to shop I’ll drive to a neighboring no mask county. Add to that we also have the liberals riled up over a hate crime that ALLEGEDLY happened here. A black family from Houston claims they were at a rental cabin (big tourist area) and they found a note that said something like White Lives Matter, you noisy N word, go back to where you belong and stop keeping us up all night something like that. So now these lunatics are saying we all are racists and they made a sign to stand with this family. No one questions this as maybe just maybe not true? How would someone know it was a black family there? If I wanted noise stopped I’d call the constable not put a note out. The world has gone mad.

  9. My wife always wears a mask.

I refuse to wear a mask except when I work in a hospital as a subcontractor. Then it is manatory. I want to be in the middle of the herd, not six feet away.

  10. We should submit questions to Joe.

“How will your administration respond to the Russian sinking of the Lusitania last month?”

“Will citizens who identify as rabid dogs who shoot bees out of their mouths have access to the children’s section in public libraries?”

“How is America prepared to handle COVID-91?”

“What cabinet will Cornpop be assigned to?”

I dunno’….. I just think he would be a fun pen pal.

  11. The mortician needs to use more makeup to make him look alive, but Biden’s speech today on medical insurance is full of FEELINGS. 50:50 thumbs down, comments almost totally negative. He gets a little messed up in the head towards the end. But I reckon it’s good enough for the D’s for now. There are a few people there sitting within paper circles. FYI

  12. CCNV, I live in a frontier community in Nevada and we have NO Covid here. I have to go to Carson City (I assume that’s where you are) this month for several meetings and am considering just resigning from those boards (one of which I was appointed to by the “governor”). I am sick to death of bullshit everywhere I turn and have had enough. It doesn’t matter who is in charge, one-size-fits-all solutions are always applied to “problems” that only exist in Las Vegas and Reno.

  13. @Brown Eyed Girl

Don’t know your particular situation, but as a general rule, how can we affect the goings on if we aren’t there to begin with? Isn’t that how we got here?

Like conservatives are less likely to want to be teachers where libs see it as an opportunity to have their way by brainwashing the young.

  14. Our shithead governor Jay Inslee has mandated that all the sheeple in Wash. state must wear a mask when they go out in public as of tomorrow. I went out and bought a red bandana this afternoon as I still refuse to wear a mask but I will wear a more comfortable and breathable bandana. Now I can pretend to be a cowboy or a bank robber (only if I wear sunglasses with it and a baseball cap) or a hippie. I am so sick and tired of all this wu flu malarkey.

  15. Carson city has like…….an inordinate amount of donut shops.

Per capita is has to be number one or two in the country. There is a really good pizza place outside of town. Redbarn or something…

But what the actual hell is the deal with all the donuts?

  16. Cop bait.

    Lol!

I’m serious though. My wife says it’s like an east coast town but more so. For me it was kinda creepy. Never seen a bakery or donut shop on every block before.

To put it in perspective. MORE DONUt SHOPS THAN GUN STORES.

    Weird.

  17. Anon, hopefully he leaves the race tracks alone. I’m gonna be pissed if I get down there tomorrow and he’s shut them down.
From a neighbor peering across the fence, Abbott seems to be a huge disappointment. 2nd guy in command seems to be a better choice.

  18. Brown Eyed Girl,

Yes, just a bit east of Carson City. True, the gov only cares for Las Vegas and Reno. He was pissed the rural counties didn’t vote for him, so he is going to make us pay, and pay dearly. Take care, and know you have an ally nearby.

Aaron Burr – Pizza Factory? Nick and Willy’s? Bunny Ranch?!
