Media Immediately Begins Attacking Parler as Twitter Users Make Switch for More Free Speech

RedState: With the skyrocketing popularity of the Parler app with conservatives thanks to its free speech philosophy, Twitter users have been creating accounts with such speed that it’s gotten notice from the mainstream media. As you can likely guess, the mainstream media isn’t happy about the idea of a free speech platform that isn’t policing conservative thought and information.

As you can guess, it’s immediately launched its opening salvos at the up and coming social media network.

Over at Yahoo, writer David Knowles said conservatives are angry at “what they see as political bias” on other social media networks and have thus begun flocking to Parler. After Tuesday’s censorship of President Donald Trump over saying he’d enforce the law against criminals, the banning of meme maker Carpe Donktum and Raheem Kassam, as well as its decision to drag its feet on a racist talker releasing a woman’s personal information, it’s safe to say that conservatives see it because it’s there.

What’s more, we have Facebook’s employees admitting their biased actions with pride thanks to a Project Veritas sting released on Tuesday as well. more

  1. Great. But not sure it will bring in the number of people we need.
Do not get me wrong, we need social media, but we haven’t reached the level we need, yet.
My main concern is that we need to build the masses to support our ideas.

  2. I would love to see this take off. However, it still needs to actually get enough momentum. I hate to be the passive person, but will see where Parler goes.

  3. I thought it was great! Finally an adversary to facefuck, instacunt, snatchchat, and all the other leftists that claim to be “fair” so I went to parler’s website.

Before you can access anything at all you have to become a member so I of coarse decided to read the “terms of agreement” “privacy policy” and their “user agreement” which are chock-a-block full of doublespeak, fancy political footwork, and they reserve the right to censor, ban, and kick out anyone they deem posting “offensive” content at any time for any reason….LOL

when they advertise as a “free speech” platform…. LOLOLOLOLOLOL

    eat your heart out suckerburger!

  4. When people like Dan Bongino are pretty much running Parler the claim there won’t be verboten subjects is false.
I like Bongino but he is too invested in making money online to truly allow open discussion of the REAL truths of the world.
I will say I have never experienced censorship on IOTWReport – kudos.

  5. Twitter will lose membership and money.
    That’s the best part.
I waste too much time on fb and have never joined Twitter.
FB has been deleting my stuff lately though. Thinking about quitting it.

  6. Don’t build personally identifiable profiles on the internet, they’ll end up working against you if you aren’t among the impotent majority that constitutes the acceptable people.

You see twitter and Facebook posted stuff being used by prosecutors in courts all the time if you don’t understand what this means.

  7. Who gives a sh*t? We’ve had GAB for far longer than Parler!!! Where are the articles promoting Gab? Why do we need TWO free-speech platforms, when the the first one, GAB, can’t seem to reach critical mass?

  8. I hate the name, and it is social media, so I will never join, but I hope it succeeds and doesn’t get co-opted by the left.

And isn’t it annoying how all the “Don’t like Twitter? Make your own platform” assholes are angry that Parler rose up? Especially the corporate conservacucks like David French.

Watch out Parler—or is it Parlay?—the suicide Twitter trolls will come rolling in, doing their best to get tossed, so they can say Parler is fascist. You’d better have a plan for dealing with them.

And speaking of French, I am curious: Who decided that a French word was a good idea for the name?

  9. The question you must answer to yourself if you remain on twit and FB is why are you “sleeping with the enemy” other than doing your best to EFFECTIVELY bring them down from the inside. And “face” it. Most of us do not have that ability.
You are putting money in your enemies pockets so they can cut your throat if you stay with them.

  10. I joined yesterday when one of my favorite conservatives, Neal Boortz, announced that he had started an account there. I was surprised that all of my favorites were already there.

  11. Junopapa, did Boortz ever get off of his nevertrump high-horse? I used to like him until a few years ago. His radio show on the “50,000 Watt Blowtorch” WSB 750 blazed the trail for Rush to go national.
