The attack on the word master tickles me almost as much as when the word niggardly caused consternation among near illiterates.

Houston realtors dropping Master from the term Master Bedroom in their listings is hilarious.

Yes, the master of the house slept in the master bedroom. But not all masters of a house were slave owners. The term has nothing to do with slavery. You might as well ban the term top hat because slave owners wore top hats. How about banning the term “whip”?

  5. …well, gee, I’m in a LOT of trouble from when I worked with Master Cylinders and Slave Cylinders in cars, and ALL my controller programs for robotic cells references Master Clocks, Master Controllers, and Slave Servos, so any DAY now I expect a corporate edict to redact all references to inconveniently named electrical structures, but it’s gonna be tough to do without going to the Master Control Room…

  11. I am glad that I never pursued getting a Masters Degree in Sociology because I’d be a brain dead leftist idiot parroting the liberal worldview. I also bombed the GRE and the professor that I talked to at WSU (Wash. State University) told me that most of the graduate students were sleeping with one another. I took that as a warning and never went back.
