World records set at Nathan’s annual hot dog eating contest

Joey Chestnut and Miki Sudo still reign supreme.

Chestnut, 36, wolfed down a world record 75 hot dogs and buns in 10 minutes to win the Mustard Yellow Belt for the 13th time in 14 years. His total topped his own record of 74, set in 2018, and marks his 1,000 career dog.

  1. I never understood the draw to watch people suck down massive amounts of food so quickly, but I’m guilty of it myself. Recently found a 120lb woman, Katina, on YouTube suck down 6-7 pounds per sitting as I watch with my mouth agape. In 1 minute these people can eat more than I can stuff in my mouth hole for an entire day.

  2. If I ate 10 hotdogs in 7 minutes I would be spewing puke like Lardass in Stand By Me or Mr. Creosote in The Meaning of Life by Monty Python. I don’t understand this annual exercise in gluttony every year on the 4th of July. I can’t stand watching Man vs Food on the Travel channel either. Can you imagine how big a dump Joey Chestnut must have after consuming that many hotdogs that fast. GROSS! I like Nathan’s hotdogs and Hebrew National reduced fat hotdogs but in moderation.

  4. How can this type of stuff be important when we are all waiting with bated breath to find out if Bubba won the race, after all ‘Races Matter’!!

  5. It’s disgusting. Every time I watch this, I am just waiting for them to barf it all up all over everyone.

I bet none of them have diverticulitis. You have diverticuli and wolf down even 10 hotdogs, you might have surgery the next day.

  6. Katina eats Kilos!!! My hubby and I are fascinated by this girl. She is a damn machine. Her YouTube videos are wild….she is a lifter and we cannot understand how she stays so in shape doing these monster food challenges.

“I once won a blueberry pie eating contests…”

…I know this isn’t what you meant, but I remember a guy I worked with when I was wrenching on cars who happened to be Black telling me about being at the club and being approached by two Black women with a proposal. The meat of it was that he could have sex with both of them, but he had to “eat the blueberry pie”. Exploring this phrase, it seems that some Black women, or at least these PARTICULAR Black women, due to the coloration shading from the dark ebony of their skin to the pink of their vaginas thought that their genitalia bore a resemblance to blueberry pie, so that was the euphamism they used for cunnilingus, or “eating her out”.

Sorry, but that’s what it made ME think of. Think you could win THAT blueberry pie eating contest?

…for the record, my friend declined. I’ve found in years of lying about women to other guys that most Black men seem to have a reluctance to lick a lady, at least voicing it to a greater extent than their White counterparts do. Not sure if it’s universal, but within the subset of men who I’ve heard discuss it, it is…

  8. SNS- you’d have to ask my better half if I compete well in that contest.

As for the VA contest, they called it as I tried to dislodge the bottom crust from the pie pan with my chin.
