The 39-page report and corroborating evidence show that Taylor had more extensive ties than previously made public with a person suspected of drug trafficking who was at the center of a larger narcotics investigation in Louisville. It is not known whether details in the report were presented to the judge who signed the controversial “no-knock” warrant for Taylor’s apartment.

The report, supported by jail phone recordings and other documents obtained by The Courier Journal of the USA TODAY Network, details multiple links between Taylor and Jamarcus Glover, a main target in a drug probe that prompted police to request the search warrant for Taylor’s apartment. More

  1. The sad fact is that nothing will come of this that will placate the mob. But what is making matters even worse is the foot-dragging being done by the department to finalize their report, 5 months is plenty of time to get on with it.

    None of the officers will be charged with anything although one was fired.

    We will never really know what happened in that apartment that night. All the officers will coalesce into one united front and the boyfriend has his own self-serving story, no independent third party witnesses so the truth will be forever hidden.

    Although the city of Louisville will end up paying her family millions to settle the wrongful death suit, the only good thing to come out of this is to put a spotlight on the pernicious practice of no-knock warrants. Like the choke hold they need to removed from all police practices.
