Many commenters at IOTWReport have been asking “Who is funding these radical Leftist groups like BLM and antifa?”
I was reading BadBlue and came across an article about far-Left radicals promising post-election violence if Trump wins, and within that article was the name of the group “Fight Back Table.” I Binged that name and was led to the “Democracy Alliance” (DA), a group founded in 2005 that spearheads and funds a constellation of self-proclaimed “progressive” causes through all available means.
Among the DA’s org structure, the president Gara LaMarche, is a frequent poster to their blog. So I looked this guy up. Columbia graduate, probably mid-sixty-ish. He’s also the powerhouse behind awarding billions of dollars of donor money that he has been instrumental in aggregating. Think political party PAC on steroids. He’s done this for many far-left orgs and they make no secret of their aims.
I’ve never heard of this man and yet there seems to be a lot of info out there about him and his “philanthropic” endeavors in support of the radical Left.

Is this where the funding is coming from for these “grass roots” efforts?

I work at a non-profit (not for long, retiring in October) and the big push now is awarding grants through an equity lens.
They don’t solicit donations from donors through an equity lens. They target the high wealth individuals for support.

The article goes on to talk about the roundtable’s discussion of Kyle Rittenhouse being lionized and how to deal with that, among other things.
What I am trying to discover is WHO was on that Zoom conference talking about this stuff. Somewhere, someone is privy to the Who’s Who in this group. Let’s find them.
Also — and this is the crux of the situation — we (as in you and I) need to let Chad Wolfe, the Director of the Department of Homeland Security know that we citizens are infinitely more impatient to bring down these American “Enemies, Domestic” than anyone taking a government paycheck, including him. Because even for all his love of country, doesn’t have as much skin in this game to lose as we private citizens who are losing everything to these domestic enemies through inaction and hesitation by people like Wolfe.
Any organization whose stated goal is to deprive me and you of our constitutional and natural rights is our enemy. We must get directly involved in stopping them.

This is the ending paragraph that should give all of us anxiety:

Eventually?! Eventually?! Look, if a sixty-something nobody in Seattle can sort through a half dozen articles in the small hours of the morning and piece together the real identities of some of the main protagonists in this dire situation, we should all be terribly alarmed at the idea of “eventually”. We’ve all seen “eventually” played out over and over again by those who are taking a paycheck to protect us from this stuff. It’s just not good enough!
Let’s get seriously to work on this, guys. Right now. Today. We must let everyone who is taking a paycheck to protect us from this stuff know that we’re well aware of who is behind funding domestic terrorists — that it must only be a big secret to them! We can’t let Barr, Wolfe, or anyone else get away with “eventually.” I’m very serious.

I am as mad as you at DOJ. But remember the DEEP STATE has been growing and getting stronger for 30 years. Most of these folk are “Civil Servants” and are almost impossible to fire.
The liberals running the Fed. Govt. have had 31 years to stock the swamp with hyper liberal staff. Restocking with impartial or conservative folk will take time. This article was written back on August 5th! One month and five days ago! Why is Rose City Antifa still in business? Why did Aaron “Jay” Danielson have to die in Portland on August 29?
Believe me, you and I and a couple of others who comment here would have found every single member of the Rose City Antifa, everyone who “liked”, tweeted, followed and commented on their YT videos in less than a week. We could have easily identified Danielson’s would-be murderer. The FBI could have gotten every arrest record from Multnomah County of every person who ever was part of the rioting in Portland over the past months, and every single one of them contacted/interviewed inside a month’s time.
The co-heads of the FBI Task Force on this are hand-picked. They aren’t Deep State. And even if they are, it’s no excuse for us to simply take it on the chin.
It’s simply not enough for us to elect people and then sit back and expect them to take care of business. As a citizen of the U.S., whose freedoms were purchased with the blood of others, it would be nothing less than treason to abandon our posts where it concerns the presevation of our rights and liberties when they are under such direct and blatant attacks.
“Fight back” needs to mean fighting back, with a fight. An honest to G*d fight. Crimson.

Given how GHWB “knee capped” the conservative “flagg officers” in the Cal GOP 30 years ago; I doubt there are a lot of none DEEP STATE Field Grade officers in the GoP – as it is today.
