I’ve been thinking about something Jordan Peterson said about one of the main causes of mental illness. He posits that it’s caused by an overload of complexity in peoples’ lives. Let’s say you lost your job, got a divorce and then a loved one dies unexpectedly. So much, so soon is often beyond many’s ability to cope and they go a little nutty.
I think if you take that idea and add to it the idea that many young(er) people haven’t acquired the life skills to navigate their own lives in simple matters and they have no way of figuring out how to cope with Trump.
Accident? No.

This reminds me of my old friend Chuck driving his new Camaro through Georgetown (DC) on a Saturday afternoon and rear-ending the car in front of him. We had a guy in the telco who wrecked a truck. A rear-ending. Day-Day (that’s what he was called) went into the Union/Management meeting about his collision… everybody wearing bad suits and bad ties.
The Union and Management stated the case: Negligent driving,we hold the operator of BA114 accountable!
Day-Day said, in the recorded meeting, “I could see her pussy hair!”
They all glanced at one another and the moderator said, “One week in the street!”, and brought down the gavel, which really was his briar pipe.
Leaning half way out the window while driving is enough to pull you over. Try it in front of a cop and see what happens. I don’t think she hit the car.
At the very least it becomes a sobriety check. Possibly a ticket for unsafe driving. They witnessed she was not in full control of the vehicle with that panic stop at such a low speed.
Here’s to hoping she got a cavity search too.
Both cops had to get out to see what stupid really looks like.
