No, If You’re White You Cannot Quote a Rap Song – Rap is Corrosively Divisive

This is absurd.

Top Marine general removed after being investigated over use of a racial slur.

MSN-

rs. A witness to the incident told Stripes that after hearing some of the musical artists use a racial slur, Neary asked junior Marines nearby how they would feel if he used the word.

The witness told Stars and Stripes that his comment stunned the young Marines who said that even if Neary “was attempting to be instructive about the taboo nature of the word, it came as a shock to hear it from a white general officer.”

The investigation into the incident continues, but enough information had emerged that led Berger to relieve Neary of his command, the official told ABC News.

  1. And here I was, banking on the Marine Corp to honor their oath, and vanquish all the communists from the federal government.
Ah well, it was a long shot anyway I suppose… Pardon the pun…

  2. Oddly, “Rapture” by Blondie was the first to hit no. 1 with a rap in the song. Vanilla Ice went no. 1 with “Ice Ice Baby.” But to me, I have to go back to my childhood with “Convoy” as what I consider the first rap song I ever heard. White rap is where it’s at…word. ✊

  3. Men of character are being drummed out of the military. It’s just another attack on American values. He tried to mentor his troops to be better men and they took the route of acting like pussies in response.

  4. When I was in, the officers I knew (of) were all (supposed to be) “officers and gentlemen”. But that didn’t mean that they couldn’t rip loose with a blue streak now and again. We were PROUD of our officers who could do that, showed they were LEADERS and not wusses. HOOOAH! GO ARMY, BEAT NAVY!

  5. It’s been about 2 years ago that Kendrick Lamar invited a white girl on stage to rap with him.

She got to the lyrics with the nword and when said it he stopped the show to call her out in front of the audience.

  6. .(c)rap will be flushed with most of the other useless dindu-culture

.classical music has existed for hundreds of years, not going away. notably, classical musicians don’t shake their *** or scratch their **** while performing

  7. Rap is like anyyyy other music genre. Accept it for what it is. OR just don’t listen.

I am NOT a fan of it myself, I heard too much of it growing up as a ROCKER in the Bronx.

BUT that said? From what I understand DJT is mentioned in MANY MANY rap songs in the 80’s and 90’s. WHY?

They wanted to BE like him, in their own minds.

HE had the bling and the girlfriends and the success, so they LOVED him. He knew Mike Tyson, Don King, and Al Sharpton and even Jessie Jackson at the time. THEN in the 2000’s he was Mr Apprentice and had ‘bad’ boys like Rodman on as well as other black celebs.

So this said there is a newer generation of MAGA rappers out there (you can see them on YT for instance), and there is the ‘older original ones like Ice Cube and Fiddy Cents who are backing the POTUS. Then there is Kanye who actually stood next to the POTUS in the Oval Office.

All the POTUS needs is 10% more than he got last time and it’s a locked in ‘deal’.

  8. “Rap” refers to two distinct things: a genre and a style.

The genre today has some good and a lot of bad. No details necessary here.

The style goes back a long way, and wasn’t a style that saw any particular race distinctions. You should go back in time to 75 years ago and listen to Charlie Ryan rap one out, and that number has been covered numerous times.

  9. Reminds me of the worst answering machine message contest winner on The Howard Stern Show about 20 years ago…

    Ohhhh, the details…

Wait, now that gives ME an idea! LIGHTBULB! I should put a MAGA hat on my ownself avatar AND I and going to try that even that it took me long enough to get that one right…to begin with.

  11. Our military is subject to laws that civilians are not.
The UCMJ exists “to establish good order and discipline”.
When a General Officer trying to educate his troops in how to follow those guidelines is punished, it’s all over.
