Maybe instead they could put armed guards in the doorways? Just a thought.
Preferably armed guards with 12 gauge Streetsweeper shotguns with orders to shoot to kill any looters attempting to steal firearms and ammo.

Have you seen the black friday mob videos? If a swarm like that was headed toward the front entrance I’m pretty sure the guard would be the first one out the back door.
If the firearms and ammo are still available for sale and as long as there are salespeople available to administer the purchase I think this is a prudent measure. Just make sure the inventory available for purchase is clearly pictorally displayed.
I doubt Walmart can take a chance on the liabilities of having after hours armed guards in a store during a riot situation.
Even the police have a problem with this, so even using the police as guards could be considered probably would be in court- considered as an inflammatory action.
It would be far less costly to lose a few stores than to try covering the liability costs of judgments against them.
The armed guards need to be on the roof not at the front doors. Safety first you know.
You know what stops looters? Shooting them, game over.
I know the left doesn’t think this is playing fair, but I don’t care, they started this war.
They’re needs to be an immunity law for shooting looters.
But, the Holiday looting season is just starting!
I’m sure Walmart could afford to hire a few ‘Roof Koreans” in troublesome areas…if they wanted to.

Are they ever going to restock? We saw yesterday the shelves were empty and they had stock last Sunday. Sure it makes sense in cities and areas you suspect will be targeted but even in small towns? One has to wonder if they used this crisis to finally rid themselves of shotguns and ammo. It isn’t like they removed other so called dangerous items. They still have gas cans, knives and other items that could be valuable in a riot on the shelves.
Wrong solution on several levels.
First the fact W/M allows their stores to be looted at all is the root of this problem. If armed security was behind a locked up store, there’s not going to be any looting. You might lose some front entry glass and get tagged but that’s about it.
Once the savages know there’s no stopping them, Wdafuq do you expect?
It would not be that difficult to build a towers into the design of their stores.

except 12 GA. Bird shot and very ODD caliber rifle for 45+ days.

I agree with your point, however, we can’t even get Law Enforcement to defend themselves let alone do their jobs.. This catering to the mob is nucking futs. I think private security firing on the mob would come with great liability.

Our neighbors were telling us last night they lost a lot of friends from the Bay Area when they announced they were voting Trump in 2016. She has not heard from any of those people since.
