Typically, those who yell about ‘separation of church & state’ the loudest, know about it the least. As loyal Relatable viewers will attest, the separation of church & state, while not in the Constitution, exists to protect the church from the state, not the other way around. The belief in God has always influenced lawmaking in America, and that’s fine. It was never the intention of the American Founders to eliminate religion from all public spaces, as the left is trying to do now.
The left does not learn.
The State can not make you pray.
The State can not prevent you from praying.
Apply this to other proposals by the State.
Thank you Hugo Black for distorting the words and intent of the Constitution.
Our “liberal friends”?
I do agree with her and have said the same that she is saying. Based on the current environment, can we have liberal friends? OK, I admit I still consider many of them to be my friends, regardless of their beliefs. There does not seem to be any reciprocity.
I ask you. Does this mean they are still our friends? I personally do consider many of them my friends, despite our disagreements. Some of them do not consider me their friends, and for that, I am sad.
On the main point of her speech, I do agree. Do not just sit back and accept what others (particularly the left) are saying, or assume that we will have this liberty if / when Creepy Uncle Joey / KamalaToe Harris take over.
I encourage all of you to support, and even make donations, to the (R) candidates in Georgia. All that the left needs to do is win one of those races.
@stirrin
I think you meant something else…
What you have, according to the Constitution, is to practice your religion in the way you live your life, to live according to the standards and practices of your religion without interference by the government for doing it.
The government is prohibited from interfering in your religious practices and your religion expressing lifestyle.
Unfortunately, in practice it doesn’t always work out that way. Government doesn’t like to have restrictions placed on it.
Jethro – “…I think you meant something else…..”
You lost me on that one. Please splain yourself.
Did you mean something other than THANK you?
Rhymes with buck?
That’s what I was thinking.
@Jethro – Ahhhhh, I seeee. Thanks for the clarification. 🙂
We have a state religion. It’s called SOCIALISM and it is forced on us in many ways. Nevermind that it is an IDEOLOGY, a weasel-word that wasn’t invented until the late 1700s after the Constitution was written. The founders would have recognized an IDEOLOGY as a religion and would have included that word in the Constitution.
My daughter and I noticed when we left our house this morning to make a trip to Target that the Catholic church St. Anthony’s across the street from us had far more cars and people attending Mass than we’ve seen in months. I hope and pray that this is a good sign of things returning to normal soon.
..oh, they KNOW what the Constitution says,
They just don’t CARE.
…because it can say whatever they WANT it to say, to THEM…
“In sum, Obama views the Constitution as a flawed document from which we must “break free.” We need, instead, a “living” Constitution that refocuses from “negative rights” to requiring income redistribution from the Haves to provide “positive economic rights” to the Have Nots.”

They want to use separation of church and state to use the state to force their version of religion on us.
Obama and Biden and the democraps and their media lapdogs, Hollyweird, academia etc. and co conspirators can kiss my ass. Their version of religion would amount to Hell on earth just like in communist countries. They are not God and never will be. I will not comply or obey any unconstitutional or ungodly edicts they may try to enforce ever.
Thankfully, atheistic leftards don’t understand history.
The Church ALWAYS GROWS during persecution!
