Congressman Matt Gaetz (R-FL) late Wednesday night defended President Donald Trump’s calls for protestors in Washington, D.C. to be peaceful. According to Gaetz, the president’s calls were far more explicit than Democrats’ calls for peace when Black Lives Matter riots broke out across America throughout the summer.
“Madam Speaker, one of the first things we did today when the House convened today was to join together to extend our grace and our kindness and our concern for a colleague who has experienced just an insurmountable amount of grief with his family and I want all of our fellow Americans watching to know that we did that because we care about each other,” Gaetz explained on the House floor. “And we don’t want bad things to happen to each other and our hearts hurt when they do.”
“Now I’m sure there are plenty of folks over there who don’t like me too much and there are a few of you that I don’t care for too much but had anybody been hurt today, it would have been even more of a catastrophe than we already saw,” he said. “And I think that’s an important point for the country.”
The congressman from Florida went on to remind his colleagues that President Donald Trump asked protestors to be peaceful earlier in the day.
“He was far more – you can moan and groan – but he was far more explicit about his calls for peace than some of the BLM and left-wing rioters were this summer when we saw violence sweep across this nation,” he said as his colleagues clapped in agreement.
One of the issues Gaetz had was that those who objected to the certification and wanted a debate were “called seditionists and traitors.” WATCH
This is one corner we won’t be able to talk our way out of, they have a bigger set, a louder internet voice (MSM), and are tone deaf to truth and common sense speak. Live and learn.
I haven’t agreed with some of his votes but I like the fact that he really seems to have a gift for pissing the leftists off!
They may have stolen the presidency but I’m bookmarking a bunch of great speeches which I can hide away and play to my comrades when we meet in secret away from the overlords reminiscing the good old days.

Different Tim – Well, four years from now looks pretty bleak. In the mean time China will be moving to consolidate power on a number of fronts. Meanwhile I suspect we’re in for Social Credit Score programs that will eventually be tied to the Financial Credit Score as well as a whole host of divisive practices to influence opinions including demonetizing and “dissapearing” web sites. We are circling the drain to Communism at this point and will run real risk of devolving into a Venezuela type state as the Leftist/Communists plunder it for all its worth. Just wait until they start rationing healthcare based on yer Social Credit Score!
Sadly all of this could have been avoided with the Supreme Court just doing their job. All the American people wanted was to have a full evaluation of the voting process and the airing of all the fraud evidence. Why have we been denied this simple basic task??? The Supreme Court has this blood on their hands forever in U.S. history.
I suspect they’ll nationalize all policing? Racial Justice and reparations.
We’ve known for a long time that we share a country with (D)irtbags who think voter ID is too much to ask of voters. Even large majorities of their (D)umbcluck voters think this is wrong – like 75%.
Every debate with a (D)irtbag leader should go like this: (R): do you favor voter ID? if no: you don’t have enough intellectual integrity to be worth debate. if yes: Are you aware you are enabling a gang of election thiefs?
Any discussion of any other issue should only occur after calling them an election thief in this manner.
