When The Gloves Come Off

American Thinker

My “hockey mom” wife had the best analysis of the Trump-supporters march on the Capitol.  She observed that this is what happens when there are too many “no-calls” in a hockey game.  Players can skate through the bad calls, but it’s one no-call after another that leads to the gloves dropping.  Games get out of hand when the players on the aggrieved team come to believe they have nothing to lose by retaliating because the rules aren’t being enforced anyway.  They’ve reached the breaking point.

For the Trump-supporters, the last four years were a litany of “no-calls.”  I can’t even begin to think of them all. More

  2. BENITO – I never thought that I would think so, but I agree that the next four years are going to be very interesting, if not very enjoyable to observe. I think that the dems might be the dog that finally caught the car.

  3. I can’t imagine anybody getting to Pewlosi’s desk unless he/she was waved on by the police.

Then, the cop being chased upstairs every floor who did not shoot the intruders is plain unbelievable. Like most everything in the political world in the last 4 years, nothing makes sense to me.

  4. @Phenry – “Oh. We got them this time. Forget the previous 20 times we had the goods on them. Now we’ve got them.
    Pfffft.”

My friend, I will have to vehemently disagree with you on this. THIS is not you daddy’s Republican type, this is actual battle and combative and will win.

  5. These aren’t just no calls they are phony calls against, with much jeering and thumbing of noses. Clausewitz referred to war as politics with additional means. If that is so, politics is war less the violent means. Therefore if one faction destroys politics through fraud and judicial malfeasance, with what are we left?
