Gov. Newsom Activates National Guard to Protect State Capitol

The governor called on more 1,000 guardsmen to help keep the
peace amid threats of violence leading up to the inauguration.

Patch – LOS ANGELES — California Gov. Gavin Newsom called up the California National Guard Thursday to help protect the State Capitol in Sacramento in the days leading up to the Jan. 20 inauguration of President-elect Joe Biden.

The move follows last week’s attack on the U.S. Capitol and this week’s FBI warnings of threats of violence targeting all 50 state capitals. California will also erect a temporary security perimeter around the State Capitol, Newsom announced.

  1. LMAO! I talked to 2 CHP officers who said they were down in Sacto at “security” meetings that were nothing but a waste of time for them and the people of California. There’s not going to be any fireworks in Sacto, nope, it’s all coming afterwards – maybe a month of two.

  2. It’s all fear mongering and an attempt by liberals to convince us they have the military on their side. And of course, they frame it as rioters comprised of armed conservatives.

They have a lot of hi-echelon military swamp critters on their side. The rank and file? Not so much. I believe.

Mitch says we’re morons and trump lied to us.

Mitch doesn’t have to worry, though, because whenever he comes up for reelection, he can just say this is the most important election of your lifetimes and the republican voters he called morons will flock to the polls to vote for him. He’ll win in a landslide. so will mitt romney.

The republican party is dumber than f and it’s politicians take every advantage of it.

  4. My questions:
Who is in control of the military at this very moment? If it isn’t President Trump, then the coup has already taken place and We the People should refer to the COTUS as to our obligation as citizens to protect the Republic. However, if President Trump is in charge, I see a whole lot of VERY unhappy politicians.
Who else would be able to order the presence of the military in DC without the permission of the sitting president??

  5. Anonymouth – not after this election.
    Also changed affiliation to independent.
Can’t wait until some cunt from the GOP calls looking for a donation – they’ll need to replace their phone.

  6. “Who else would be able to order the presence of the military in DC without the permission of the sitting president??”

They’re NG’s and under the various State governors control unless they are activated and deployed as regular military for the duration of their activation.
