As for combining songs, I thought Rock Sugar was great. They covered Don’t Stop the Sandman. They had an album out about 10 years ago that I have played the shit out of.

Considering that the 4:4 time signature is the most popular in popular music, there are endless possibilities for mashups like this.
I once mashed Alice Cooper’s “I’m Eighteen” into Neil Young’s “I Am a Child” and vice versa. Performed it once in public, people got a hoot out of it. The intro banter involved a weird night in Laurel Canyon, when cosmic waves got crossed between two songwriters.
