  2. The Yellow Lab influence is strong in this one. We live with two of them. One of them is spookier than hell. My alarm system. Got home tonight to a cold house. As I’m getting the wood stove going the spooky ones going off in our bedroom. In the back of the house. Well shit, it’s house sweeping time now. Gun out, slicing the pie. Long story short the wifes got one of those magic finger neck massagers that she pitched off the bed this morning on the way to the shower. And forgot to turn it off. I could see the thought process of that mutt. O.K., that’s NOT suppose to be doing that. I love Retrievers. And no, I didn’t shoot the magic fingers.

  3. We had a German Shepard/Husky mix when the kids were were in school. She was great with the kids and we had a pull harness my son would use with her. He would be on roller blades and she would pull him at full run all over the neighborhood.

  4. …we don’t deserve dogs. We don’t deserve salvation.

We don’t deserve anything but death.

..only God’s Mercy, God’s Grace, and the precious Blood of His Son Jesus makes us worthy of anything greater.

…and I believe that He gives us companion animals out of His love for us, and that we should see THEM as an undeserved gift from Him as well.

…so cherish your your animals as though they were messengers from Heaven.

    …because, in a way, that’s exactly what they ARE…

  5. @C – the kink of the head in the beginning WHEN she realized IT WAS ON?

    PRICELESS…

And then the owner tells her to ‘look both ways…’

    Very endearing!

My great bud Sam, has Velvet…just LIKE her in that vid…and I am told…that whenever Sam tells Velvet “We’re going to Uncle_____ house…”

He tells me she is the only one that he says that to and the ears PERK up and the tail goes CRAZY!!!

    For instance?

He was supposed to meet us when we got home? But we got there late… :>(

Sam and Velvet had to leave and Sam told me Velvet WHIMPERED on the way home…because she couldn’t see us all!

We love her so much she is soooo good.

BTW how many mph were they going? 15- 20 mph?? THEY WERE MOVING…

  6. Love it. It’s cool how dogs can navigate.

I let my dog walk me every day, and she follows the same 3 mile walk every time.

When I want to extend the walk to 5 miles by making 1 different turn, I guide her once and she’s totally cool with it and leads me the rest of the way. Doorstep back to doorstep from the opposite direction.

Sometimes I think if I have a grabber and lay out on the ground she’ll run home and get help. At least I like to think so anyways. lol.

  7. @Stirrin the Pot – “That was Sunday morning Critter worthy!”

Maybe we do need a vid component for Critters to start the Sunday off??

    Not sure…

There is a purity to the photos…

  8. …….”And no, I didn’t shoot the magic fingers.”

    Collective groan from audience.

    “We want our money back!”

    :girls sobbing:

:theater lights go on, mass shuffle towards exits:

    :Agent backstage:

“Next time you tell the story…the magic fingers were comin’ right at you….”

  9. That was great. Lilly cocked her head and whined. She’s going stir crazy, having to spend so much time inside because of the cold. She had to do two stints on the treadmill today to burn some energy off her.

β€œWe don’t deserve anything but death”

    You first.”

…I will die, Brad, so will you, so will all of us. It’s what our common ancestor Adam bought for us with his disobedience of God and what we all earn with our sin nature.

Yes, we can and should try to “be good”, but we can’t “earn” Heaven.

“But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away.”
    Isaiah 64:6

That’s why Jesus suffered for us, that His blood could cover us and make us worthy of something more, if only we turn to Him, repent our ways, and accept the gift.

“7 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the GIFT OF GOD:
8 Not of works, lest any man should boast.”
    Ephesians 2:8-9, KJV

“For the wages of sin is death; but the GIFT OF GOD is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”
    Romans 6:23

…yes, Brad, I may even go first, and I may fail in the end; I still have much anger and that may cause me to take myself out of the Lord’s hand in the end. That is something I must pray to the Spirit to help me work out, as all men must work out their own salvation, as you must as well.

As you, like I, have failed and fallen and that’s what makes us worthy of death.

    As the Bible says.

β€œFor all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;”
    Romans 3:23

…saying we are worthy of death is not an insult; it’s a fact.

A fact that applies to every living man and woman today and ever.

    Only Jesus changes that.

And only each person can reach out to Him on their own. I can’t give you salvation, and you can’t give me salvation. We each must reach out to the Lord for it on our own.

I may well be first, Brad, if that’s God’s plan.

But I won’t be the last.

Don’t worry about me, You can’t help me.

But you can help yourself avoid it.

    If you want to…

“Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.”
    Revelation 20:6

    ..it’s your choice.

    It’s my choice.

    Each of us must choose.

For we are all worthy of death otherwise.

    Not MY rule, God’s.

…but on Him we have hope.

And without Him we have none.

…that’s just the fact of the matter…

  11. Sorry Bro. I’ve got an extremely short attention span. When you go past a paragraph I scroll past your posts.
My domesticated doggies are worried about who will feed them after we’re all dead.

    …ok, here’s the relevant paragraph.
“β€œFor the wages of sin is death; but the GIFT OF GOD is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”
    Romans 6:23

Eternal life is greater than 140 characters. Sorry.

    God Bless,

  13. My father used to do something similar with the dog I had growing up, except he rode his bicycle while the dog pulled him at a fairly brisk pace. Only took about two times up the block and back before the dog tired out for the rest of the evening.

“Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they?”
    Matthew 6:26

  15. Brad, I think about what will happen to my kitties when I croak. That’s why, when Zoe died, I decided to not get another kitty. Also, I knew I’d be moving soon and didn’t want to put a critter through all that change.

Now I live with my two sisters and one of them had three cats. Bonus is, I get to have all the furry love I want (yes, they all adopted me) and I don’t have to deal with putting them down at the end. Whiskers died last summer, but Pistol and Sammy are 2 years and 4 years old, so hopefully they don’t go too soon.
