Vandals destroyed gravestones at the Hollywood Cemetery in Richmond, Virginia this weekend.
The targeted gravestones were in the cemetery’s Presidents Circle section. This is the final resting place of Presidents James Monroe and John Tyler.

Hmmm. Maybe the phrase ‘leftist Taliban’ was the issue.
My original point was that a year ago this sort of desecration of presidential gravesites would have been met with collective outrage. Now, it’s just another Sunday. It hasn’t even made the Richmond Times Dispatch.
I did offer a nondestructive counter measure involving a few dudes, a case of beer and a flame that is supposedly’Eternal’. A guy with a Bic lighter could restart it, but it would probably require a 6 month commission and wrapping JFK’s gravesite in 2 miles of chain link and razor wire.
