Mysterious new brain disease being investigated in Canada

DC Clothesline-

[…]

In early March, Canadian officials began alerting doctors and provincial health officials in New Brunswick to tell them that federal health authorities were monitoring a cluster of 43 cases of neurological disease with an unknown cause. The first case was identified in 2015, but the number of people with the condition has risen sharply since, with 24 cases reported in 2020 and six so far in 2021. Five people have died due to complications as a result of the disease. more

  1. It’s “new” to New Brunswick but we call it Being “Quebecois”.

It was also identified in the United States but has been contained to New Jersey especially at the “Shore”

  2. “We have not seen over the last 20-plus years a cluster of diagnosis-resistant neurological diseases like this one,”

It would be helpful to know age group, ethnicity, migratory patterns etc. Without pertinent data, which is curiously absent, I suspect the mystery could be linked to either a migrant population (20 yr timeline) or environmental (water) sources.
