April 12 (UPI) — Domino’s Pizza said Monday it’s testing a self-driving delivery vehicle in southeastern Texas that could ultimately send out pies across the country.
Domino’s said it’s partnering with automated delivery company Nuro for the vehicle, called the R2, which has won regulatory approval from the Department of Transportation.
The company says it will first deliver pizzas in the Woodland Heights sector of Houston to test the automobile. more
They ought to put an oven in the car so your pie bakes on its way to your door and arrives as fresh as it gets.
….and at the end of the day you STILL will be eating Domino’s pizza…yippee?…
Prybar=free pizza
…. I see an opportunity to crappie flop and hire a good lawyer…. Iām starting to think like an ER troll….
The Department of Transportation is under the control of progressive commie goons.
Buckle up..!
So if these self delivering vehicles get involved in an accident who is responsible for the liability issues? Or will the taxpayers have to foot the liability as usual.
After stopping the car, what does a cop do when no one exits the vehicle when ordered to do so??
How about a Pizza that doesn’t taste like Shoit?
See MJA, I’m Trying not to swear ;@.
@Jellybean
He brings the Pizza in for questioning by chief Wiggum.
George H W Bush used to live in Woodland Heights.
It may sound like the hood but nope, pure upscale.
Otherwise it would arrive at your door with thirty bullets or less or then it’s free…
^^ HAHAHA! I wondered about that area. I’m like- I know they aren’t running that through the hood.
Loco, I was thinking that’s why they’re doing this – no more pizza delivery person to rob.
I live 180 miles from the closest Dominoes. Wonder if the pie will still be warm when it arrives?š
They also have a Jar-Jar Binks version delivering to Jamaica…
Wait…what?
If they also deliver bug repellant, they could be called R2, DEET too.
(Sorry)
Now you have to go out to the truck to get your pizza, no more delivery to your door. Think I’ll call the local non-franchise pizza place. Besides if I wanted cardboard pizza, I’d get a frozen one.
Nuro should work on robot vehicles to transport robot cops. They could designate the integrated setup as Model CR54WHRRU-2DNMuldoon.
Anyone who orders a pineapple topping pizza delivered via robot will interrupt the space-time continuum…
We will deserve it!
They could deliver it with a Marine Osprey for all I care.
It won’t make their sh*t pizza any better.
