I’ve never had a cat or been a cat person. Roughly 3 years ago I acquired a house on a lake in Louisiana. Moss, alligators, surrounded by swamps ……. the works. I try to go there every other weekend to get away from people. One night upon arrival I noticed a mother cat with 2 kittens under the porch steps. F Fwd to today…… 12 cats that have wandered up and adopted us. Each with its unique personality and name to fit it. Several times each night I will walk the property to keep any Rougarous at bay. These cats know I’m hunting…they follow in a pack behind me. When I stop to look and listen, the form a rough circle around me and crouch on the ground until I start to move again. These cats now mean the world to me. Every so often one will come up missing as there are panthers, coyotes, eagles and foxes and it makes me sad. Yes Fred….. God is a beautiful being!
