Dianny: No Lupus flare will stop me from wishing Mom a happy birthday

Patriot Retort:

You probably noticed my absence yesterday. Yeah. It’s a monster Lupus flare. Yesterday I was up by six and back in bed by eight. Not good. This is the kind of Lupus flare that so beats the snot out of me I end up with a raging fever from the battle.

But today is my Mom’s birthday. And even a monster Lupus flare won’t get in the way of wishing my Mom a very happy birthday.

It’s become an annual tradition here at PatriotRetort.com to take some time on April 21 to honor my Mom. She is the most important person in my life, and no stupid Lupus flare will interfere with celebrating her day.

A few years ago, my Aunt Joy mailed me a package filled with old letters, cards and pictures she thought I might like. Those two pictures above were included in what she sent.

My father met my Mom when he was stationed in Germany in the 1950s. After he got permission from my grandfather (he was under 21 and the army required parental consent to wed), they were married on January 8, 1957. more

  1. According to the timeline you laid out, your parents were married the year I was born. So, assuming that you were conceived sometime shortly thereafter (if you were the first), that makes me just slightly older than you.

But this isn’t about you or me, it’s about your Mom. Happy birthday Dianny’s Mom!

  2. Dianny Happy Birthday to your Mom! 🎂🥳

Mom’s are some kind of special, it’s been two years since my Mom passed and and there isn’t a day that doesn’t go by that I don’t think of her.

It’s so important to spend as much time as possible with them while they are here on God’s green earth.

Hope you have the best time celebrating her special day. 🕊️❤️
