Hollywood has had wake-up calls over the last few years that they have refused to listen to. This will be the first of many this year, This is a WIN folks, and all you had to do was not watch.

Used to love the movies, would go a couple times/month. But the left has to shit on everything they touch. So many small pleasures we all used to enjoy are either on the chopping block like BBQs or have gone the way of the dinosaur like the NFL or MLB.
The time I have left is spinning down anyway and I’d much rather participate in activities I enjoy or that give me some satisfaction. Sitting in front of a TV is definitely not one of them.

The Oscars have morphed into an event where monolithic thinking privileged elites applaud other monolithic thinking privileged elites on how well they represent monolithic thinking privileged elites, it is one big circle jerk. It’s like the editorial board of the NY Times all getting together to give each other awards on how well they represent the editorial dept. of the NY Times. People that tune in know the presenters are insufferable, the numbers are down because they are just boring.
And even though I don’t watch his show, it is a good thing that Bill Maher, a higher browed pedigree liberal than most, gets it. He has a big audience and when he tells them how stupid they are for abandoning the principals of free speech, for embracing toxic wokeness and counter culture, it does move the needle.
Too many of them are already filthy rich and can easily survive without us ‘un-washed’ masses.

My watching anything on a screen is limited to what might be found after midnight on the weekends after work while feeding my face, like 48 hours. During the week you tube and such under the direction of BLUESJUNKY and other from sites like this.
Think the last movie I watched was one of those “forced affairs” where the kids made me do it under their supervision. “Gran Torino” I believe because they felt there was some resemblance between me and one of the characters (not the priest).
