You would think cars ran on toilet paper

Stupidity would explain the clearing of the shelves of toilet paper when a pandemic that had nothing to do with excessive shitting was foisted on the sheeple.

Now Panic Buying is running gas stations dry.

Gas outages hitting Southeast are getting worse amid panic buying.

cnbc-

  • More than half of the gas stations in North Carolina are out of fuel, according to the latest data from GasBuddy.
  • The national average for a gallon of gas jumped above $3 on Wednesday for the first time in nearly seven years.

Officials have tried to stem the panic buying, noting that the Colonial Pipeline has said it plans to restore operations by the end of the week.

The pipeline is a vital link between the Gulf Coast refiners and the Eastern Seaboard, spanning more than 5,000 miles and transporting nearly half of the East Coast’s fuel. Colonial Pipeline took its entire system down on Friday after it fell victim to a ransomware attack. Much of the system remains offline.

The company is expected to provide an update on whether it can restart operations by the end of the day on Wednesday. However, once activity is restored, it will likely take at least a few days for operations to return to normal. This is the first time the entire pipeline has been shut down.

The national average for a gallon of gas topped $3 on Wednesday for the first time in nearly seven years. The uptick in prices is more acute in states including Georgia and Virginia, where fuel is running short.

  1. @Jethro — Think of it like this: Colonial shut down the pipeline by the book before the hackers crashed the pipeline causing damage and spills. You don’t just “turn off” something that’s moving stuff with that much inertia.

  2. It’s all $$$greed.there’s a shortage of things so the companies raise the prince’s to line their accounts.glad I won’t be in their shoes on judgement day…

  3. When ‘I’ do it ‘they’ call it hoarding. When ‘they’ do it, they call it good planning. If I’m a good boy and don’t stock up, then run out, they say something on the order of ‘sucks to be you’ and continue on their merry way. All very unconvincing.

  4. That pipeline passes under the Potomac river at the location where I sometimes waterfowl hunt. It says “gas pipeline”. I always thought it was natural gas.
I’ll have to put my ear up against the pipe next time I’m there to see if I can hear the gasoline flowing…

  5. Oh, the “Gas Karens” are out in force right now. Don’t you dare fill a gas container for your lawn mower or my friend who runs a food truck and was filling two 5 gallon containers for the generators. Ooowee, she got in his face! Fun times for sure.

  6. Its more then likely the “hackers” are some type of leftist trying to play games so they can inflict their green economy garbage onto the country as they claimed they did it for money and not to hurt ” society” when did you ever hear of a serious hacker dong that?

  7. @Jethro, no they did it to cripple America and cause panic and unrest. Also part of the nwo plan. Have to completely break down civilization before they can “build back better.”

  8. It’d take over a Month for the Pipeline shutdown to affect current Fuel

Supplies…This is engineered panic…I’m currently driving a one ton Dumptruck

that gets 8 MPG…I average 80 miles a Day…I fill up every other Day..I had

to visit 3 Stations to get gas today..My beloved 2000 Astro had water seep into

Cylinder #5 and basically blew the Starter off of the Engine…it cracked the

Block and sheared off one of the Bolts…My Timing is shit…as usual.

  9. It is hard to blame people for panicking when you know the regime in charge wants to create crisis to enforce complete transformation. We’ve been keeping our tanks full in our vehicles along with our extra gas cans since Biden took office. All predictable and by design. The stupidity on display is going to end in disaster – many people have no idea how to store gasoline safely and that is going to end badly in some cases.

  10. As a “side benefit”, this episode gives Biden the perfect cover for the already skyrocketing fuel prices. Prior to this, the price of gas had already increased over 25% since shithead assumed office. Now it’s all blamed on those hackers, who were Russians, by the way, and probably on orders from the evil orange man.

  11. My grandfather tried to get us (his grandkids) to believe that he could run his old International P/U truck on soap once when we were huckleberry picking with him on the backside of Mt. Canfield in N. Idaho. He faked like he was putting soap into the gas tank and got us gullible grandkids to believe him. Later on we figured out that he was just joshing us and we didn’t believe any of of his made up tall tales. But it was fun while it lasted, tall tales and whoppers are the best when you’re a kid.

Do you suppose the morons miss Trump yet?”

Nope. They’re actual morons that believe anything MSM tells them no matter how obvious it is that reality is the opposite. Add the hate for Trump whipped up with all the lies the MSM has brainwashed them with to the human fail when they can’t ever admit to being wrong, and you have what we have. America being destroyed. They’ll blame Trump no matter what now. If it wasn’t him, it would be something from the right anyway.

The day will soon come when my lefty friends are desperate about survival and I fully expect them to say whatever the MSM lies to them about.

I will not loan or sell my lefty friends any of my firearms or ammo. Most likely got the jab anyway. They’re probably not going to be around for the complete collapse.

  13. There’s a reason most of Hitlers rolling stock ran on Diesel.

“It’d take over a Month for the Pipeline shutdown to affect current Fuel ”

I’m thinking that’s an accurate statement.
