Homeless man arrested in connection to California Palisades fire burning over 1,150 acres

A California homeless man has been charged with arson in connection to the 1,158 acre brush fire in Pacific Palisades, on the west side of Los Angeles, which was 47% contained as of Tuesday night.

Ramon Santos Rodriguez was arrested Sunday when he emerged from the burned brush and was spotted by a private security officer who reported him to the police.

On Tuesday, the 48-year-old was charged with one felony count each of arson of a structure or forest and arson during a state of emergency, according to the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office. more

  1. Oh, the poor guy, suffered from smoke inhalation? Is he an illegal? Too bad this is not a nation of law and order, or even better yet, when the circumstances fit, vigilante justice. I bet we could put a stop to a bunch of this shit!

  2. Most of the fire that ravaged Oregon over the last decade were caused by homeless people, although the cause was cleverly listed as “illegal campfire”. I think if we knew the real cost of homelessness to our society, we might actually do something about these leeches.

  3. They will let him go because he has no assets to go after. They won’t give him 3 hots and a cot, so, he’ll go do it again. I’ve seen this happen before where I live. One a$$hole burned down thousands of acres and homes, they arrested him and the net day he was back out at his burned down campsite. He walked away from his campfire on a very windy day. Another arsonist was arrested 2 years ago and was rearrested for starting more fires. I’m all for the death penalty for these a$$holes.
