Good one that I had never heard but it’s hard to beat his Hello Muddah Hello Faddah song

Except for the ubiquitous Camp Grenada songs (although it seems that it generally is the second one that gets played), I haven’t heard Allan Sherman in eons. I don’t know if my parents had all of the albums but I am sure they had most of them going all the way back to My Son the Folk Singer in 1963. Sherman produced the early Bill Cosby albums (which I still enjoy].
I was supposed to have gotten all of my parents albums but I know there a bunch of them are missing.

Well, that sent me down a rabbit hole! Watching the YouTube of him and Peter Noone (Herman’s Hermits) was good because he sings “Hello Mudda Hello Fadda.” So then I had to look him up–he died in ’73 and at age 48! The end of his life was not pretty but he did provide a lot of laughs for me in the 60s.

Corky, my rabbit hole trip ended with my recalling, for the first time in more decades than one hand can hold, my parents listening to Pete Seeger. My 110% conservative, military veteran, parents. The song was Little Boxes. Damn, this is taking me back to things long forgotten.
Pete Seeger sucked ass.
Like that dude said about “If I Had a Hammer” – go the local hardware store! You can get one for $1.78! Probably never wielded a hammer in his life.
But he’s another communist puke who wouldn’t work if his life depended on it.

Yeah, for all you men who think women want things – you don’t want those kind of women. I’ve seen men who marry them thinking they are getting a trophy, but they suffer for it.
Find a woman who appreciates who you are and doesn’t bankrupt you. They are out there; believe me!

Pete Seeger was the classic contradiction in terms, a millionaire communist.

He died at age 49. Think of all the paradies he missed out on.
8 thou$and bucks for a Mercedes?
Oh yeah. 1963.
Got me remembering’
Pete Server and his “Waist Deep in the Big Muddy”
Anyone know a big fool asking us to push on?
Pete Seeger bad edit
How did he lose $8,000 if it was re-possessed? Was that just the down payment?
Same with all the other re-possessed items.
Sumptin’ don’t add up.
I admit sometimes being a nerd gets in the way of enjoying nonsense. Whatever. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Pete Seeger was a communist douche before it was cool to be a communist douche. Did some good stuff though.
I’m sorta partial to the Rat Fink…
