The recent catch of a gold-colored largemouth bass was described as exceedingly rare by an Arkansas biologist.
“Josh needs to buy a lottery ticket, because he caught one fish in a million,” Jon Stein, Arkansas Game and Fish Commission biologist, said in a May 26 news release announcing the catch.
Josh Rogers was casting a swim jig May 23 at Beaver Lake when he hooked the bass and noticed its extraordinary coloration as he reeled the fish into view. More
No lie.
Maybe just a giant golden guppy?
so, not catch and release?
Did it grant him 3 wishes.
Bass change colors do to water conditions. Extremely murky water they turn really light. Clear water they turn dark. Alvie filled water I’ve seen them pretty close to gold. Google Clear Lake Cali. Home of the biggest 5 ever weighed. A natural lake. Very shallow. The Algiers bloom is so bad I’ve seen ducks walking on top of it. My favorite water.
Extremely rare, one in a million, and…delicious!
Josh Midas?
Don’t buy a lottery ticket after you’ve used up all your luck.
If its so rare sell it, by the weight of gold. 😉
