Guitar and organ not plugged in, drummer out of synch. Prehistoric music videos. We laugh now but loved them back in the day.

These Xs, Ys and millennials today with their hipster beards think they invented alternative facial hair. Ha! The boomers win again. LOVE the Lovin Spoonful.

Coincidental that it was in the 90s where Claudia lives?
I think not! What a perfect song for that.
It was warmer there than in Dallas. She ain’t used to that.
😉

Took a swim in the St Clair river under the Blue water bridges the other day. Air temp? 87,water temp? A balmy 54. Woo hoo!

Bass player mailed that one in? Maybe that’s keyboard #2, didn’t think they had that capability back then?
Yeah, we have the same problem today they had then. It’s hard to make a live recording sound like a studio recording, So don’t even try.

I always thought this was a creepy song.
I hate that song!

Gotta see a duet with Sebastian rockin’ the autoharp and Ravi playing his sitar.

Lovin’ Spoonful…, isn’t that a reference to heroin?
Ride on the silver spoon, looking out my back door…
It’s either that, or cat food.
@Geek
Lovin’ Spoonful is a reference to the amount of semen that quirts out during sex. It amounts to a spoonful.
Sen. Cruz…read and note. The hairy faced 60’s are long gone.
As long as we’re talkin music…OK, I’ll admit I like some disco music.
Here is a gem from 1978: “Got To Have Lovin” by Don Ray. The most impressive thing is the interlude (starting a little past the 2 1/2 minute mark) with a some bass drums being smashed, boomingly, thunderingly, while some instrument unknown to me is carrying the rythym or whatever it’s called. I think it’s an incredible sound and one of the best disco songs ever, and shows some great musical talent, IMO. Give it a listen, you may be surprised at how good it is.
Always thought a black dude was singing this!
What an iconic song. It screams summer!
Ahhh, John Sebastian and the Lovin’ Spoonful. I return to their music often. Have to post:
