In our town of 22,000 people and just under 3,000 students in K – 12 we pay $18,000 per student.
If they were all as well educated as the private schools that cost less it would not be so bad.
50% of graduating students who go on the college in Maine have to take and pay for remedial classes.
The school dept is very careful and you can not find out exactly what they’re teaching on their web site.
The board and the administrators are a bunch of social justice commies elected by all the out of town leftists who move here and the undereducated people from here.
I’d be throwing shoes at that board, yelling “Let him speak!” They’re so lucky I never had kids.
At the end of this video, I realized what was going on. The parents can leave the kids in the school where they will learn absolutely no math because math is racist, but they will be experts in critical race theory and other nonsense. My advice, if getting your kids an education that will make them successful and productive members of society is important to you, get them out of that school system and into private school or home schooling. In years to come, they will be thankful and you will be proud.
He was far too wordy and far too nice. He said nothing any school board member (with two brain cells) doesn’t already know. So they will be “convinced” of nothing. They know and they don’t care because they have ulterior agendas.
Bullies don’t respond to reasoned arguments. They have to be smacked down, and as long as it’s legal, I wouldn’t “play fair” either, or limit it to elections. Make their lives miserable. Parents and supportive others need to find ways to do that.

I listened to about an hour and a half of parent and student comments at a school board meeting of Pinnella’ (spelling?) county school district in FL, which was held about a week or so ago. Whoo Boy! They got a thrashing!! These protests are happening ALL across the country right now. The parents are getting extremely well organized, too. Tee shirts, even. Not everyone can afford an alternative for public school and, by rights, shouldn’t have to make that decision; to be heavily taxed and also pay for an alternative. The number of parents choosing homeschooling is off the hook, too!
It took a looong time, but parents are finally hitting back against the school districts and their cronie union pals. Parents are heartsick at what is being taught to their children and what passes as “education” in their schools. We own the buildings and pay for everything. It’s time to kick the squatters OUT!

I must say that almost until the end of the video I thought the entire audience were a bunch of mutes – raising their hands when they should have raising their voices in a loud AMEN!
