A liberal North Carolina professor apparently won’t face any adverse career repercussions for suggesting that people “blow up Republicans.”
The professor, Dan Johnson, who teaches at the University of North Carolina-Wilmington School of Health and Applied Human Sciences, issued that terse post on his Facebook page on May 17.
Two days later he announced via social media, “Time for my summer break from Facebook.” And his previous call for violence against Republicans was apparently deleted.
But according to the conservative website Campus Reform, Johnson will go on without penalty.
“The university was made aware of the post and has appropriately addressed it,” a college spokeswoman told Campus Reform. The outlet reported that the university later confirmed, “Johnson will be teaching in the fall semester.”
Haylie Davis, one of Johnson’s former students, upset by the blatant double standard.
“Putting away any personal political preference aside, I think this matter should be addressed and dealt in the same manner that it would be if the word ‘Republican’ was replaced with any other word. If the post stated ‘Blow up women,’ ‘Blow up homosexuals,’ ‘Blow up Catholics,’ etc,” Davis told Campus Reform.

There are two double standards at play. Academia protecting their own and punishing students who are caught expressing their 1A rights on social media.

The magic words are: “Don’t feel safe”, “Professor is racist”, and anything else along those lines. Also they need to protest and hold sit ins demanding the removal of said Professor, boycott his classes. In other words … do exactly what they do.
Feed him the list of republicans that voted for Trump impeachment/insurrection commission and encourage him.

It would seem proper to send their leadership a nicely worded email asking what STANDARDS were used to determine it is appropriate no punishment be applied in this case of bias and threatened violence.
And how does the conservative student possibly feel safe around such a prejudiced and threatening professor?
I just looked up Dr. Dan Johnson PHD. etc. His photo wearing his snazzy orange luau shirt with his Jim Carey hair cut tell me that this fellow aspires to be Ace Ventura.
And to think parents to this day are surrendering their children to these sewage plants! “My kid needs a college education to have the best chance at a good future!”
He prides himself one inclusivity – I’ll accept that because blowing up all republicans includes blowing up women, gays, minorities, and people from all walks of life. What he demonstrates is the left acts like is MAGA / republicans are somehow not even human beings. And that makes their rankings and threats very credible and dangerous.
