Megan Rapinoe kicked up another round of controversy at the Tokyo Olympics — and now a group of Subway franchisees are pressuring the fast-food giant to give her the boot.
The 36-year-old, purple-haired soccer star — who kneeled during the National Anthem to kick off the Tokyo Olympics before leading the United States to a bronze medal this week — began a stint as a pitchwoman for the fast-food giant this spring.
In one spot, Rapinoe — who has been a vocal proponent of equal rights and equal pay for women — knocks a burrito out of a guy’s hands by kicking a soccer ball at him.

Christie Sinclair has always been a class act. She played on the Olympic team for many years and never got gold. What I respect about her was that she knew enough to let a younger player take the penalty kick that got them the tie. Great leaders Know when they have to pass off the torch to the next generation.
They were quite lucky to win actually, as the first half was quite bad.
America Has many great Athletes but right now the patriotic ones are being media blocked. Tamyra Mensah-Stock was great!

I was at the world series game when they won!

I used to write for a blog where one of the other authors lived in Toronto was a huge Raptor’s fan. The year they won the title he was absolutely insufferable, in a good way. He could give as well as he got.
My sympathies with what goes on in Toronto. I check in at Rebel News from time to time, the assault on personal liberties is truly astounding.
I used to save the Subway coupons and eat there once in a while.
– About monthly.

But now I throw away the coupons and I will NOT eat there.

The last time I was in a Subway, the girl behind the counter had nose piercing with a nasty infection and it was… leaking. I left without ordering and never returned.
Used to eat Subway all the time. Went there right after the Jared scandal broke. All of the posters were still up in the windows, but someone had taken a knife or razor blade and cut Jared’s face out of every single one — just all of these big round empty voids where his head used to be. It was the Subway version of decapitating statues, I think.
When I saw that ad, my first thought was this is assault and misandry straight up. No more slubway for me.
Subway, like the NFL, lost me years ago. Their adverts on the telly look like something delicious, then you buy one & the damn thing looks like Big Mike Obama sat on it for a few hours.Then they hired the purple haired dyke as their spokesperson & somehow roped Tom Brady into appearing in a commercial with her. I thought Brady would have more self respect than that.
