  1. One of the knuckleheads we used to hunt upland birds with made his own shotgun shells and gave some to a good friend of mine. He went to shoot a bird and his barrel exploded, fortunately he wasn’t hurt but Darrell our friend who usually got us into a lot of trouble every time we hunted with him wasn’t trusted much after that. What is it with guys named Darrel that they are usually shifty and untrustworthy?

  2. A couple weeks ago a young man mistakenly discharged a handgun in his bedroom. The round went through some sheet rock and struck his mother in the head killing her instantly. The distraught you man wonder out into the street and killed himself. Thereโ€™s a price to be paid for not training kids gun safety. They should teach it in schools. The idea that guns will one day disappear is stupid.

  3. Darrel was also the guy who left a loaded shot gun in his downstairs bedroom that accidentally went off and blew a hole thru the ceiling into his kids bedroom, fortunately his kids weren’t in there. And my brother once left his shot gun in the back of an old Ford station wagon we used for hunting that was loaded. My dad and his friend gave him the why and what for and the riot act for that when they found he had forgotten to unload his shot gun before getting back in the car, he never did it again. And then there was the time when all of us young idiots were deer hunting up around Colville, Wash. and had loaded rifles in the car looking to shoot deer along the fields as we drove by. I am extremely glad that God protect fools and idiots that are illegally hunting and once again Darrel was the ringmaster. And we all laughed earlier in the day when he walked into a restaurant in Chewelah with two six gun pistols one on each hip and was told to leave. Don’t ask me why we ever went hunting with him, we were all young and stupid back then which is why myself and my best friend eventually quit hunting, we didn’t have a death wish and my son was only a toddler back then.
