@Joe6pak – HTML – Hypertext Markup Language. Which also probably doesn’t help. HTML is the computer standard way to show things in browsers, including how they are formatted.

I ran into that a few days ago. I used the code to put something in italics. My whole comment just disappeared.
Of course it was a long comment that took a long time to write. It would have been nice if they gave me a warning saying they did not take HTML code, but no โ they just sent the comment to nowhere.

I did post a comment yesterday that had HTML code, though. It took four tries but it finally posted. Very frustrating.

See, this is what I don’t understand, not being proficient in WordPress. Other blogs that I look at use WordPress, in the comments section they offer the full compliment of HTML tools (bold, italic, strike, source code, link, etc) with “edit” and “delete” functionality. We used to have those same tools here. Is it a server issue or an outdated version of WordPress?

AND it depends on if they are using Discus, etc. for their comments section. We don’t have a registry (sign up) in order for you to comment.

Thing is, the people who are contributors (and signed in) don’t have any of these problems. Which leads me to think that we would have to switch to a registration to comment. But some commenters aren’t into that.

I can’t use certain browsers (Safari for one) because they actually alter or block some things when I’m typing or filling out forms.
Some browsers actually change the way your keyboard works [in combination with your device]. Also, some ad blockers do it, too.

Say you’re on a website and want to save that page on your computer for some reason.
Go to File, and select Print.
The page you are looking at will show.
Select the pages you want printed. ( ie: 1-3 )
then go to ‘more settings’ and select the PDF button.
Then you export and save as PDF.
I use this method to look at court documents and legislation I need to read offline. It’s pretty cool.
