  1. In working with satellites for about 30 years I’ve seen these warnings come and go over the years and nothing ever happens. Sure, there is alway a chance that something might be impacted, but the chances are pretty slim.

  2. My employer and I were just talking the other day on how worthless the majority of our counter/parts chaser staff would be if the computer went down. Several of them can’t read an old fashion clock. We’ll be screwed.

  3. A G2 (geomagnetic) storm isn’t nothing, wake me when it’s a Carrington Event. (G5) The Northern Lights could been seen in Florida, and the telegraph wires melted.

  4. If a US Agency issued the alert, you KNOW it’s BULLSHIT!

ANYTHING connected with the FedGov is BULLSHIT!

Watch the weather forecasts from the NWS, for instance, they’re batting about .500 which is “toss a coin” accurate. BULLSHIT.

  5. Biden’s handlers have ordered all Federal agencies to issue alarming news releases whenever possible as distractions to the real disasters: Joe Biden, the economy, the vaccine bioweapon, vaccine walkouts, the supply chain mess, our flooding border, gas prices, Afghanistan policies and a whole lot more.

  6. As an electric grid operator, I’ve seen several geomagnetic warnings come and go. If it’s severe, no one can do a thing about it, save shut down the grid. If it isn’t severe, nothing happens.

And yes, there have been events that caused damage and outages. I’ve never seen one.

So it goes. Wolf! Wolf! No one hears it any more.

  7. flip, how about a near Carrington-type event that while it shuts down much of the grid for a time, it ESPECIALLY craps the power to the server farms running social media? Can you imagine all the people screaming and going through withdrawal symptoms? It would be a great (and shocking!) wake-up call.
