A mother-of-six was gunned down in Chicago in the exact spot where her 14-year-old son was shot dead just three days earlier.  

Delisa Tucker, 31, was fatally shot in the chest Wednesday morning while visiting a memorial set up for her son, Kevin Tinker, near their home in the city’s Roseland neighborhood.

Tucker had been lighting candles for her slain son after he was killed in a shooting on Sunday evening, family told the Chicago Sun-Times.  

Police haven’t confirmed if the two shootings are connected and no one has been arrested.

Cops said they discovered Tucker’s body lying on the sidewalk after responding to a ShotSpotter alert just before 12.30 a.m. Wednesday.

She was rushed to Roseland Hospital where she was pronounced dead.

Authorities said they haven’t found anyone along the street who witnessed that shooting.

    I didn’t know what this meant so I looked it up: ” ShotSpotter is a gunshot detection system designed to automatically determine the location of potential outdoor gunfire. ShotSpotter audio sensors are placed in several CPD districts throughout the city (specific districts are noted below). If at least three sensors detect a sound that the ShotSpotter software determines to be potential gunfire, a location is determined and the alert is sent to human ShotSpotter analysts for review. Either the alert is sent to CPD, or it is dismissed.”

  6. All in the family, this wasn’t just a coincidence. I personally like the recent shooting in Lubbock, Texas. It’s on video & again family related.
    But we need to start seeing a fairer gun fight, gun on gun.

  20. Take it from someone whose sister still lives in Chicago. She denies reality and in fact I stopped long ago from pointing it out to her. Doing so would result in months of silence.

    Years ago I also stopped encouraging her to move out. When the knee-grows began crossing I-55 for the antics was about when. Now the shootings and home invasions are just about even on both sides. Hard to believe her home is assessed at almost a million. Who in their right fucking mind would move into Chicago.
